  1. Just received today my "green" wide-body MR2 and my 1/43 die-cast Honda Insight! Pic's when I get back home later! As promised..................................... I just had a look at the MR2 and it look's very cool. Much like the Veilside kit, the bodykit is completely seperate, BUT! It's not resin, and it's an add-on, no requirment of cutting off factory bumpers! This should be a much easier body-build then the Veil! The wide body kit comes in several peices, an awesome two peice rear wing, sort of F-40 like. The wheels are freaking wide! I guess you could say that this is what a Toyota MR2 would look like if Koenig did Toyota's!
  2. I'm also getting the Koenig Diablo soon as well. It's not an enthusiast model so I don't think it's as complicated to build as the Countach. I'll more likely build the Diablo than the Countach.
  3. 1999 Ford Lightning I could never get yellow smooth.
  4. I'm also an animal person. I absolutely adore my cat, she's the sweetest animal I've ever known. Then there's my Dad's 1.5 year old Irish Setter who's an absolute pain in the rear, obnoxious, rambonxious, has no disapline, yet some strange unknown reason to me, I still like him! Why is that? Hate to love him, love to hate him? I'm sure he'll be much nicer when he matures. I get mad and I hate it when I see dog's running loose in our Forest and walking along the streets by theme selves and I yell at the stupid dog's who chase cars. I may yell like I hate'em, but I'm only yelling cause I'd hate to see theme get hit. I'd also feel really bad for the pet's owner. I cry every time I see a dead cat on the side of the road, and even sometimes when I see dead squirels. I know how you feel man, cat's are awesome and it hurts to see'em ran over by careless drivers. It's even worse when the drivers dont' care and just drive away. This is one main reason I keep my cat indoors and I work very hard not to ever let her outside. That and being in the forest, we have animals that would make a snack out of her. I'd be completely lost and upset if I ever lost her. She's so sweet.
  5. Thank you, I'll look for flat-aluminum. I was also thinking about some of the paints used for WWI WWII airplanes that have that metalizer. I'm wondering if the Testarossa engine is aluminum?
  6. Hello there. My Koenig Specials Competition has a very cool engine that is mostly silver with red accents. What silver rattle-can spray paint should I use to make a very nice engine? I've previously used just plain silver and brushed it on and it looked horrible. I would love to use that special chrome we talked about earlier, but it's way too expensive and I dont' ahve that kind of money for now. So, what silver or aluminum would you recommend for the engine? I've painted the chassis flat-black, but the chassis has the bottom half of the engine molded to it. Should I paint the rest of the engine parts flat black to start with as well? Some engine parts are molded in white, and some in grey.
  7. Imagineering isn't a new word. And yes I have seen the 1/43 Koenig models on ebay but they are beyond my budget......................for now.
  8. Can I list a future Geoke? Those big 1/18 scale Koenig Specials models, and the 1/43 resin Koenig models. Anybody noticed by now how much I love Koenig Specials?
  9. Question is can they top Nathalie Kelly? It wasn't just her that made me love Tokyo Drift the most, I thought it had one of the coolest chase-seens ever second from D.B. Sweeney and Charlie Sheen's movie "No Man's Land." Would love to build some models of those Porsches!
  10. Wow, thank's guy's! Now I don't feel to bad not finishing my Veilside MR2!
  11. I have seen available, can't recall name-brand, but there is a decal set of various windshield tint band's. If I can find reference to the decal set, I'll post here.
  12. My gut-feeling is this. With the new four-door Honda Insight debuted this year, set out for 2010 I think, I bet it will be just as popular as the ugly Toyota Prius, maybe more so as I think it look's better. Maybe there will be a model kit of that and THEN eventually the tiny two door. I'm still hunting for the 1/32-24 scale Ultraman Honda Insight. I say 1/32-24 cause I'm not sure exactly what scale it is. Being that it's a toy, and not a model, it's sort of a none-scale car if that makes any sense. I do know it's about the size of Fujimi's Honda CRX model, maybe a tad smaller. The Honda Z Coupe I mentioned was made from ARII, and it was 1/32 in scale. A little easier to find. I dont' think painting flat black primer and then clear-coating will work. I think what you'll end up with is a flat'ish semi-gloss black. I'd still use the black primer, but then cover that with gloss-black, and then clear coat.
  13. I had one of Fujimi's drivers sets. I used the guy in the blue-shirt for my Toyota Trueno project I started ages ago. Never finished it. I even once purchased their garage set, but never built it and lost it. Was hoping it would come with all stuff in photo's, but it was just an empty garage, can't even remember if it had a lift or not.
  14. Wow, thank's for the info. I assumed Asian since she was playing Japanese? Well she's certainly gorgeous! I'll have to watch out for that commercial now! Schick Chick!
  15. I think for me it'll probably be my 1/24 Koenig Specials Lamborghini Countach "Enthusiasts Model". It's so complex, so many darn peices, opening doors, and what not. Aiming for perfection, I wish to practice on less complicated models first. I've opened it yesterday when I received it and had a look at everything. Very cool, but very complex. It'll probably sit for a long time before I start on it.
  16. For the black paint, I suggest useing that black primer I mentioned in another thread. It helps me produce a very nice black finish. I see you like to build model's of cars you own/owned. I've owned four cars so far. First one was a 1974 Honda Z Coupe and there is a small plastic model kit of it but forgot the company name. Second car I inherited from Grandmother was a 90something four door Honda Accord, no model kit of that. Then I gave that to my sister-in-law and got myselfe an 88 CRX SI. At that time, only model that existed was Fujimi's model and a MiniChamps 1/43 die-cast. Now there are ton's of toy's of the 88-91 CRX. Now, I own the 2001 Honda Insight and there are NO kit's of that car, but only three toy's of it. One small HotWheels car, one 1/43 die-cast from Ebbro, and a larger toy from the Ultraman series of which is near to impossible to find. It's nice having toy's/models of cars you owned/own. It's also fun having toy's/models of cars you WISH you could have!
  17. Hello there. While my MR2 is on the backburner, I decided to start my Koenig Specials Ferrari Testarossa Competition. So my first step is to paint the main chassis parts flat black. I'll let this dry for a few hours, flip it over, and paint the other side. I've built several of these model's before and their fairly quick builds. Most complicated part is the exaust systems downpipes to the exaust tips. However, I've learned a few tricks and think I'll use the quick CA-glue here as their very difficult to keep in place while normal glue dries. I still have not yet decided what color to paint the exterior/interior. But chassis and engine get's built first anyway.
  18. That's why I TRY and finish one thing before starting something else. As soon as you start too many projects at once, it's hard to finish anything. I'd love to get my MR2 as close to the box photo as possible.
  19. Cool! I like to try and finish one before starting another so I dont' get parts mixed up. However, in the case with this Veilside, I have no choice but to put it on hold. Not such a bad thing when you have other kit's to keep yea buisy!
  20. I think Tokyo Drift had the hottest chick in there. Wish I knew the name of that Asian girl, she was yummy!
  21. Hello there. I'd like to start a thread called What's on Your Backburner. These are projects that you've started building and for some reason have put it aside to finish later. I'm going to start with my Fujimi Veilside Toyota MR2. The chassis and interior is 100% complete. All that's left to do is the body. However, it's on my backburner simply cause I don't have the right putty to fill in the gaps on my front/rear bumpers. So, it's all back in the box and on my stack of kit's. Since I just recently got two Koenig Specials models, I plan on starting one of those this week, just not sure which one I want to start! So, what is on your backburner?
  22. Could probably make our own lighted table. Get a nice large glass table, put a couple of florescent lights underneath, and a dimmer switch! Might not be as fancy as what we see in the show however. But it's an idea! Just like the guy ^^^^^^^^ said!
  23. Well, I do have gun-metal. Should I use that instead of this burnt-iron? Wish I could see a picture of the difference in colors.
  24. Thank's, that is probably what it's for is on the engine. Not sure what model I want to start with next, the Countach, or the Competition. I have all the colors needed for the Competition, but not sure what color to paint it. Same with the Countach, color's undecided.
  25. Would be cool to have a figure custom made to match your appearance. I think in LA, there is a company that makes action-figures and for a hefty fee they can create an action-figure of you useing a 3D scanner and sculpturing your image onto the figure. Would be nice to have something similar but alot more affordable for us model builders. Imagine having a little driver of your selfe in your favorite car!
