  1. IT looks good so far. I probably would not change it, but for your next build, NASCAR does not allow the use of those twist type release belts. They use a latch link belt.
  2. She's got a long way to go, but it should be more than worth the wait. That roofline is about waist high on me. I'm 5'10". It's not a very tall car at all.
  3. The 1926 Ford Model T that Clarence Lamb owned and that I worked on had the fuel tank in the turtle deck from the factory. It was the first year for electric start and head lights. 6V battery too. I could hand crank it faster than that battery could turn it over.
  4. Too bad about the non engine. Someone makes a resin engine kit online that is really detailed. I'm sorry, I do not recall who made it. I have one somewhere, but it's buried in the stash. Look at what is sitting inside of my 24ft Lark trailer.
  5. I can't help you with the truck, but 3 inches under has a web site and he has a Ebay page too. He would have the sirens, lights, hose reels, nozzles, shovels, axes, rakes, pike poles, ladders, turnout gear, SCBA's, pumps and motors, medical equipment and just about anything fire, medic, or police stuff that you might want. 6. No water pump. The camshaft runs the fuel pump mounted on the front cover, so there is no place to put a water pump. When hp gets high enough or you get into supercharged engines on nitromethane they run a solid or filled block to make it stiffer, so it won't deflect under power. Only water is in the heads. Also take into account that the amount of alcohol or nitromethane that flows through the intake and heads also helps to reduce the heat in the engine. This car only has 8 injectors, but look at supercharged engines on nitro, they have at least 16 injectors if not more.
  7. Just FYI a lot of chevy and other engines too will bring water lines from the rear of the intake as well. Let's it balance out the temp. of the engine so it does not have hot spots or get air locked at the rear of the heads. Not sure if this would apply for your drag car that only run for a few minutes at a time. Something to think about I guess. It looks great by the way.
  8. Well, those tires are NASCAR slicks and so is the wheel. The seat looks like an old bomber type seat that was used in some race cars from after WWII till about the 60's when better and safer seats became available. It's possible it was some old stock car, but you don't have enough parts to really figure that out. Sorry, I can't help anymore than that. Maybe if you can find more parts or a body or maybe you have a pic of it somewhere we would help more.

    lift axle

I found those two. I'm sure he's got more. Just did not have any more time to search. Hope that helps. LOW RIDE HEIGHT LIFT AXLE SUSPENSION, TQ199 — Sour Krauts Model Trucks TRUCK LIFT AXLE SUSPENSION SET, TQ198 — Sour Krauts Model Trucks

    lift axle

www.sourkrautsmodeltrucks.net has a lift axle, not sure if it's steerable or not. I think he has a couple different designs too.
  11. Yes, they will be close to what you want. I need a bench seat out of one of those.
  12. That one does not have the wheels you are looking for. I have that kit. The old Broncos like that don't have them. You need to look for the 70's and 80's Broncos.
  13. Well, shoot, I that I had a good idea there. I don't suppose copper tubing would be any better. Maybe you could 3D print some elbows as a last resort.
  14. Broncos had some of those wheels in their kits too.
  15. If no one has any to trade, check out www.sourkrautsmodeltrucks.net
  16. I was looking for parts and came up with another idea. Sour Krauts has elbows for both intakes and exhaust pipes for semi-trucks. In both plastic and rubber. The ones in the pic are rubber. Maybe you can put that to some kind of use to make your stacks if my other idea does not work for ya. Oh, I have bought from him before. If it says out of stock or don't find what you want, email the guy anyways. He may have it or can get it for you quick. www.sourkrautsmodeltrucks.net Just hit the model truck tab at the top to start looking for parts.
  17. The winch is like 20 bucks but it has the pto and box and drive shafts. He has driveshafts and u joints too. If you find something sold out keep looking, he probably has another one just like it on a different page. You just have to search. And if it says out of stock, e mail him anyways. He may have it or can get it for you quick. OIL FIELD WINCH, TQ71 — Sour Krauts Model Trucks
  18. I had an idea. Not sure if it would work or not, but worth a try. What if you placed a solid plastic rod with a tight fit inside of some aluminum tube as support and then heated it off and on and slowly bend it off and on. Not try to bend it or overheat it all at once. Then you could go back and polish it later. Worth a shot I guess.
  19. The Monaco would be close, but that one is not the right year. I actually have a real Polara behind my shop. I ever get too it, I can swap out the grill work and taillights and get it to look like the real thing. And it's a 400 big block car too.
  20. You could make a square lift block to put between the axle and the spring.
  21. Look good. Too bad it's not a 74. We need a Blues Brothers mobile.
  22. That interior looks great. Can't wait to see the tach.
  23. If you insist on decal type plates, 3 inches under has their own website and he has an ebay page too. He has lots of decal type lic. plates and more.
  24. Yep, I see where you're going with it now. Oh well, that pedal just popped into my head and I'd thought I'd share in case you could use it. Looking good by the way. Can't wait to see it finished. You have way more patience than I do.
  25. More than welcome. Like I said, search his site or ask him to make something for you. He does it all the time.
