When I was in grade school they took us on a field trip to the Mustang assembly plant 2 years in a row 1967 and 1968 my dad worked for Ford Motor /Rouge Steel for 32 years which is in the same complex as the Mustang assembly plant

The first concert i went to my mom took me to see The Carpenters at Pine Knob in 1972...that was not the best concert i have been to LOL In 1975 some of my friends got tickets to see Alice Cooper "Welcome to My Nightmare'" at the old Olympia Stadium in Detroit, Suzi Quatro was the opening act, my dad wouldnt let me go , my maternal grandmother bought tickets and took me , My dad really couldnt say NO to her . All these years later i still have a crush on Suzi Quatro ! And miss my Grandma like crazy , she was a cool lady !

Remember K Marts "Flashing Blue Light Specials" ? they wheeled the cart over to the targeted department , plugged in the flashing blue light then came on the PA system -Attention K Mart Shoppers some times they did it in the toy department = 3 model kits for $5.00 ( K Mart also had their own brand of model glue , manufactured by Testors for K Mart )
