Start to work on the wheels. I used those from a die cast. And here is what they are suppose to be. Front and rear, rear are wider.

If you need the Maisto wheels let me know, I'm not planning to use them. The Maisto either does not have a spoiler, that's a easy task for you.
  6. I like the garage pictures
  7. Looking good!
  8. Nice car, bring back memories, a friend of mine had a Cosworth, ex rally car, with 500 horses...

    Scion XB

Since the lower part of the body had to be trimmed, the undercarriage was sticking out. I cut both sides and glued back in an angle so now it will no stick out.

No, just superglue. Thanks! Thank you Bruce! I'm planning to make it like the one in the pictures, with the Chevy front and rear end. The Tamiya bB is curbside? The Maisto has opening doors only (driver/passenger and back). I wish it had the hood the open instead all the doors. Sweet car to drive! Thanks Chris! LOL! Here where I live there are more XB that Cube.

Thank you Mike! Honestly I like the XB, also I like it better than the Cube. I drove for a while a 2009 XB and I was impressed, engine was very responsive and fast, handling also was pretty good. Pretty comfortable and plenty of room inside. Fun car to drive. My plan is to make it into a truck.
  16. Months ago a member of the model club I belong, proposed a contest named "Ugly Duckling" or "Sow's Ear". The idea is to start with something "ugly" and transform it in something nice. The models accepted are Scion XB, Toyota BB and Nissan Cube. He had three XB and gave one to me. Here tho one I got. After disassemble the car, I start to cut few parts.
  17. Some work on the windshield, The Surrey had a Civilian Jeep (CJ) like type of windshield. And glued a CJ form a CJ-5 windshield. It needed to be narrowed.
  18. Beautiful job!
  19. I haven't decided yet about the hood hinges. Maybe without hinges. I build this kit different times and it is pretty nice, the only thing I wish, is that the tire/wheels should have been slightly bigger. Thank you David! Agree with you, masking the top is quit a bit of work. I was thinking to use some fabric for it. Thanks Stuart! Thank you Marty!
  20. I started this kit little over 6 years ago, and maybe is time to go back to work on it. Body assembled The hinge on the hood will be removed. Some more work on the body. Test fitting the chassis. The front axle will be replace.
  21. Coming along nicely!
  22. Thank you Mike! I was not sure if add the wood on the top of the windows, but after looking a some Woody online I went for it. LOL! Thanks Patrick Thank you Steve!
  23. Nice job! I always was curious about this kit. But it looks pretty nice with a lot of details.
