				1/25 Revell '70 Plymouth HEMI 'Cuda 2'n1
moparfarmer replied to MachinistMark's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Guys are getting too picky...Without sounding too smart a** why not go out and buy a real one if its not PERFECT...Its a model car. Things can't always be just like the real thing. There is only one real thing, the 1:1 version. There are little flaws in all models.. -
Top shelf as usual. Well done...

				Box-Stock or Custom?
moparfarmer replied to MikeyB08's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I build box-stock because of my non patience.. If I'd get too involved I would either lose interest or patience and subject would be wall bound. I like to do paint and detailing with paint. My dexterity isn't too good since the stoke so that has something to do with it too. I might change some things but don't do wiring/plumbing/photo etch. Just like the simple fun build that shows well in shows or the shelf..Clean is what I strive for...My two cents worth... -

How much $ do you put in a kit?
moparfarmer replied to pandamonium2112's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If your spending that much on models, I have a mint restored 64 Plymouth Fury Convertible you can buy from me. Its mid $30s....Show quality and drive it anywhere in North America without problems..White/Blue interior...426 Street wedge.... -
Very nicely done on a rare model. SFD, didn't know you were Canadian from Saskatoon. Nice to see more Canucks on the board...

John, Where about in ND were you from?

Pretty sure thats the one that was built by Chuck Darnell from Quincy Illinois. He is a very good modeler and has done some very clean stuff. I think this is 1/8 scale from the KKIM show a week or two ago...

What Do You Want To See Next?
moparfarmer replied to Duntov's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Only two....1965 Plymouth Belvedere 2 dr ht or post. With either V8 318/big block/ slant six. Well maybe a 1965 Coronet 2 dr post with the same engine choices. -
Although she can drive a race car better than most/all of us she has a 1 in 43 chance of winning. Unlikely yes, does her weight give he advantage,no, experience and skill have lots to do with it. Each of which she doesn't have enough of yet in NASCAR...She will do fine as long as she stays out of trouble.

I got to see this car in person. Although pictures make it easier for old eyes to see, its not like seeing it live. Beautiful Clean work by Rod...If you knew Rod you would expect work like this from him....

Nascar, ya like the new car?
moparfarmer replied to rel14's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Everenham and Gillette now have nothing to do with RPR...There are two other owners which I cannot remember their names with Richard Petty there as a NAME per say. Ray is now working with Hendrick Motorsports again and Gillette is gone. Thanks for that... -

Nascar, ya like the new car?
moparfarmer replied to rel14's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
One rumor I've heard and read is that around the garage Richard Childress Racing RCR will be the new Dodge team. He says he's heard nothing but I've read it a couple of times on different forums...Would be nice. He's been with GM forever but would be a fresh start. He is #3 on GMs pecking order...Hendrick/Stewart Haas/RCR....Why not with a couple of new stars coming up...His grandsons....Sure hope so... -

1969 Plymouth GTX (Complete plus a few progress images)
moparfarmer replied to Rod's topic in Model Cars
You could order dog dish caps with the X Back then you checked out all your options, not like todays packages which come with certain things in each package. The GTX was a certain option that you ordered and added the extras. Ever seen a GTX with buckets/center arm rest/column shift. There was one at "Mopars in the Park" in Shakopee many years ago...Rare... -
