Here's a Fujimi from Under Glass. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=74676 Revell made a 1/16 928 Rally, hard to find, and I don't know anything about it. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-928-technical-forum/440760-928-prices-drop-but-collectables-go-up.html

Hopefully, your earlier progress posts will come back. Great job on the dash.

Is this the worst box art build ever?
sjordan2 replied to mr moto's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
At least they had the guts to show them as they really looked, even though this Cord is absolutely the worst. Here's more, and I built almost all of them under the Gowland & Gowland label -- my entry into model building. http://members.ziggo.nl/dwijsman/Invoegen/dapolinsert.htm -

In answer to the question in your title: Yes, yes and yes. Looks like an insider job with somebody's relative doing the building. -
1. Superb work, beautiful color choice and skillful finish. 2. I saw in the "Big C" thread in Off Topic that you had a stroke in July and lost 60% of the use of your left side. Did you build this before or after the stroke? Either way, it's wonderful.

I also made the following post in kennb's work in progress thread, but I thought it made as much sense to post it here... For those who are interested in building a box-stock version of the Lindberg kit, I found several shots of a very similar car at the link below. Click through the slide show. As Jurgen mentioned in the kit review thread of this subject, leave off the bumpers. http://www.autoevolution.com/image/mercedes-benz-typ-ssk-w06-1928/16403.html#sjmp?slide=1

Anybody know anything bout Stickley Bros. furniture?
sjordan2 replied to Don Sikora II's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Stickley usually built what they call "Arts & Crafts" style, followed by others including Frank Lloyd Wright (his work was similar, but called "Prairie Style"). Should be very collectible, but don't even think about rpainting it or touching up anything. -
Here are some better engine shots from the manual. The first one shows a bunch of stuff between the exhaust and oil pan that's actually inside the engine block behind two doors

Good grief. Your casting work is beautiful. Have you cast any bodies?

How "Rare" are 1/16 trailers?
sjordan2 replied to Evilbenny's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Here's a flatbed currently on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-16-MONOGRAM-FRUEHAUF-FLATBED-TRAILER-26-LONG-NEVER-STARTED-KIT-VINTAGE-/300904437618?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item460f4d5772 -
Thinking of you. My Father had his prostate removed at just your age, but heart problems got him 20 years later.

I'm guessing that the 1/12 Shelby Mustang was more successful than they anticipated. It was new at the time of the podcast.

The Best Car Ever Tested?

Do I get college credit for following this thread? Or at least a certificate for attending? -
New off-topic area
sjordan2 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
All of the above have links and are on page 1 of Off Topic, and all are directly related to our hobby. Nothing about health, pets, children, etc. I posted my comment because it is now very confusing as to what the policy is regarding what goes where, and I think our members deserve clarification. -

I will say that there are a number of threads that I don't understand being transferred to Off Topic from General, because it seems to me they deal with car modeling... Michael's 50% off coupon (doesn't this relate to buying car models and supplies?) Many US EBay Sellers Will Opt In For International Shipping Soon (same as above) GOT MY NEW ROOM DONE! (model-building workplace) Why would these not belong in General? -
I'm surprised they're issuing anything at all in 1/12. The two Revell product managers said last year in a podcast that they didn't see any future in 1/12 and would not be pursuing it.

Yes, but that probably belongs in Dioramas. (Just getting back On Topic.) http://www.ebay.com/itm/G-Scale-Figure-Preiser-Size-Bikini-Clad-Lana-1-24-1-22-5-HOT-/190825690487?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item2c6e18f577 -
New off-topic area
sjordan2 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I may not be reading you correctly, but the Off-Topic forum was created specifically because there were so many off-topic, non-car-related threads in General, which now should be devoted to car/modeling subjects only. As Harry mentioned, the Off Topic forum still has to follow the long-established rules of civil conduct, no religion, no politics, no flaming. Look at the threads in the Off Topic forum. Almost all of them were initially posted in General, and almost none are related to cars or models. However, I would have put Off Topic at the top with General because of their prior relationship and to create a more obvious distinction between the two. I'm sure there will continue to be off-topic threads posted in general, which the moderators will have to move.
