  1. Absolutely. Well said. And thank you for sharing that photo with us.
  2. Ooohh. Ariel Atom. The world's most advanced go-kart, and that would be on my list after winning the lottery.
  3. Wow. The joyful angel in the background seems very appropriate with this beautiful picture.
  4. Saw that on the Today Show yesterday. I'm used to seeing premiums of up to $10,000 tacked onto early models for limited availability, but this is a bit much. I like the car, though.
  5. I don't remember seeing a kit of this car, but I certainly remember how cool I thought they were when they were new, and black was a very uncommon color. Nice job.
  6. Outstanding, and a cool wheel choice (did you change that from one of your earlier posts?).
  7. Has anyone built this one? Looks nice, but it's a curbside. This one's currently on eBay.
  8. They can't have overnight cruises, though they can have short day and dinner cruises and act as a shuttle. Here's the story regarding the Delta Queen, which was moved from Memphis to Chattanooga: ...Ambassadors continues searching for a buyer to operate it as an overnight cruise vessel. The company will also continue pursuing a congressional exemption for the 82-year old vessel since federal law prohibits it from operating overnight cruise voyages without an exemption due to its wooden superstructure.
  9. Looks great, and it's one of the few builds I've seen of this kit where the up top fits as it should. Nice work on the chrome trim on the coffin nose.
  10. What did you use for the wheel disk rings?
  11. See if this works. http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/instruction_sheetsh/instruction_sheets/amt-6/amt-65-lincoln-cont/
  12. The color works for me, and I saw a 2-tone red version with red wire wheels. The biggest visual issues with this kit are the windshield frame, which is quite a bit off, the tread plate for entering the car is twice as deep as it should be and the grille doesn't curve quite enough. But this is the best build I've ever seen of this kit. My biggest question is how did you get the hood to sit properly???
  13. If that's the Lindberg kit, it's essentially the original Pyro except with chrome-plated parts. Outstanding work, with a 6.0 degree of difficulty.
  14. Just superb all around. It does indeed share design cues from Harley Earl's 1938 Buick Y-job, but with some Figoni & Falaschi and Saoutchik (and maybe a bit of Walt Disney) tossed in. You really captured the essence of the era and that type of coachbuilding.
  15. Superb job on the fenders. And you were very astute on the need to lower the suspension, which is too high on the original kit.
  16. Wow. Do you have any background information on it?
  17. Awesome, superb, stupendous, killer, and a Roget's Thesaurus of superlatives. But I'm still bugged by no rear window.
  18. I don't know of any '32 parts in 1/16,and I don't think a '32 was ever kitted in this scale, but if you could reconsider and work with the different look of a '34, there are two kits on eBay right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/Revell-34-Ford-Coupe-Street-Model-Car-Kit-1-16-scale-/180574217556?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a0b0fe554 http://cgi.ebay.com/REVELL-1-16-1934-FORD-PHAETON-STREET-ROD-/360306748804?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53e3f4ad84
  19. I already posted on this, but my question is, how do we define real or model? As several members have said, it looks like a scaled-down kid car, which means it could be a real car with some sort of power train that makes it driveable. Or it's a powered model. Or it's not powered. Or IT'S...Monty Python's Flying Circus.
  20. Good to have some knowledgeable info. Thanks, Darin.
  21. The Renwal/Revell 1/12 Ferrari 275 GTB has to be one of the worst kits from any perspective that a major kit company issued. It's like a Palmer kit on steroids. But I have to say, I think the Chrysler Atlantic still looks killer, and it's a decent kit.
  22. Yeah, doesn't make sense. Everything is just rumor now (PS - I added a couple of shots since you posted this).
  23. carbuzz.com says this is it. They're not thrilled. However, a French site says this is it, which would confirm rumors that it resembles the Alfa Competizione. But I think this is a Photoshop job based on the rumors (hence, what appears to be a signature in front of the rear wheel). Or it could be based on this concept, shown at the L.A. auto show last December.
