Revell's 49 Merc almost "out the box"...added plug wires, upholstery piping, and lowered the stance. The paint is House of Kolor Candy Tangerine dusted with a couple of coats of copper pearl then a couple of coats of urethane clear after the decals were applied. Except for the stance being too high the kit went together without any problems. Thanks for lookin', Aloha...Pete

Thank Dan! Thanks Smokey!

Cool looking build of this classic kit. I'm very happy to see Round Two rereleasing these old kits. Built one myself a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to building the 50 convertible.

Thanks Jesse, Carl, and Kurt! Kurt...I get the Duplicolor Clear at Auto Zone (1 qt/$30) and the pearl powder is from TCP global.com.

Looks promising Alan. Hard not to like a 69 Camaro set up for drag racing?

My 1st completion for this year, definitely a little different from what I normally build. It's a Japanese spec Toyota Celsior, pretty sure it equates to a Lexus 450 in the states. While it is a curbside kit the finished model looks pretty good on the shelf. Most of undercarriage was brush painted with Tamiya Acrylics, used Testers fabric gray spray can for the interior, and on the body I used Tamiya white primer for the base color followed by a couple of coats of silver Pearl mixed in Duplicolor lacquer clear then a couple of coats of clear lacquer with no Pearl. I really enjoyed building this and will have to try a few more Japanese kits. Thanks for lookin' and Aloha...Pete

Beautiful 55 Guy...great color combo and the interior is especially nice. Love the chrome window garnishing in the interior, a popular mod on tri 5's in the day. Very clean work?

Very nice...the flames really seem to go well with the changes you made.

It's beautiful Ron. Nothing wrong with simplicity, building and finishing these kits when we were kids has to be a factor in so many of us still enjoying the hobby. Very nice work...what black paint did you use and is it rubbed or buffed?

Very cool...love the old school vibe coupled with modern tech.
