  1. I have the Indycals Motorcraft decals.....hope he does the Degan car at some point......
  2. I have a buddy that IS a pro builder. He got into a group of folks in the real car world.....hooked up with folks with real money, some famous.....some just money....builds commission now. He does not do the net as many of his customers do not want folks knowing they collect model cars. He does do pro work......
  3. It does not say 'PRO' at what!!! Could be built by a professional plumber......
  4. NY state is still in a pretty hard lock down......Atlantis is in NY......
  5. Last time they had info on this kit it was held up due to COVID.......their chrome plater was closed. Is it out now??????
  6. Went to his site as the stuff looks great!!!! Tried to order about 7 items....all listed as out of stock. Let us know if he ever gets caught up.....may order if he does.
  7. Clean neat work.....good stance too. I'd like to see it on my shelf!! I was at North Wilkesboro for his last race. I worked for First Union at the time and FU was a corp sponsor of NWB. I was also doing licensing work in NASCAR for my company at the time so we watched from the infield, took photos and after the race stayed late taking to folks and dealing with license items. I got home in Charlotte very late and just slept on the couch. I was half awake and heard a radio report Rob had been killed in a wreck. I knew I was dreaming as I had just seen Rob 6 hours earlier. It turned out true sadly....... When I got my 35mm film developed (remember that?) all my photos of Rob's car were cloudy and had a white glow around them. NO other photos had the same issues. Can't make this stuff up.....
  8. Very well done!! I built that back in the day.....like the color!
  9. Yes....we're fine....just discussing kits...
  10. Not how China works........As a customer you can insist on a layout of the trees....but it will cost more. If you look at a lot of modern Chinese tooling you see grouping of small trees combined to make a kit. Unlike older US tooling or even the way Tamiya does theirs. Yo send CAD drawings of parts to China and tests shots are shipped to you. Never in working with these new tools have I ever heard discussion on parts tree layout.....only the parts themselves. just my experience and maybe not the best way either!
  11. OK......pretty sure the kit will run in stock configuration and run with whatever parts are open. Blocking off gates in tooling or manually cutting off parts is costly...more than the cost of a tenth ounce plastic. I'll see if I can confirm.
  12. I know the fender cut out issue.....I do not recall wrong parts......which issue???
  13. FYI you can pull them up on a phone and not have to print......I do it that way now......going Monday!
  14. WOW....that's odd........5 minutes ago I was going through some files on my PC and the box art 'test shots' for this kit came up. I looked through them and remembered how exciting it was to get these kits and get to work on them. Still great kits.....but doubt any changes.....none were mentioned last time I talked to the Moebius guys.
  15. One kit had those headers.......My old brain says the 71 AMT Torino kit maybe???? A GREAT collection of Torinos!!
  16. That's the C&D gallery I was referencing above....good outside shots.
  17. Indycals are very nice to work with. AND if you mess one up he'll replace!!! You do need to trim decals very close to image as the clear carrier is on the entire sheet. Just to show them...here is a different Mustang with Indycals.....W T Ribbs...
  18. Thanks Rob....I saw those photos but I could never verify that was what the engine bay looks like in 2020.....But a place to start.
  19. I think I know why no engine detail.....Tamiya wasn't permitted to see it!!! I thought maybe I'd do some simple upper engine detail on my build....NOPE....not a single photo....CAR&DRIVER's photo gallery has zero engine pics.... Anyone have any engine bay photos???
  20. Did we loose a bunch of models on the way to Hobby Lobby????? It's the Aurora train wreck deja vu all over again!!!!!! ??
  21. I'll bet Tamiya got a little 'help' from FoMoCo with the GT4 kit.......they did with most all the RM Ford race cars.... GM is very 'different' to work with on kits......first hand data!!
  22. How close???
  23. Nice work!!!! Like the Cougar too! I had a Black 89 base model Thunderbird for about a month when they were new. Loaner until the Aerostar came in....wanted to keep it but 3 kids and a TB do not mix! Great car!
  24. Indycals Motorcraft decals on the way.....he is doing the black with white logo Mustang too.....get them when ready!
