  1. Two on way....thanks for showing!
  2. A big resin caster, still in biz, said he was looking at it 10 years ago.....must have passed on it......I want one still!
  3. Great combination of parts!
  4. Mineral spirts from HD or Lowes works well with enamel. Super cheap compared to Testors.
  5. When I moved from Charlotte to WV in early 2000 a bunch of models went into boxes....never to be seen until now. I have some extra room to display some builds. I give them a wash in Dawn and fix things in need. Here are a few recent builds from the vault(basement) Monogram Bill Elliott Junior Johnson Thunderbird. DNL Hobbies decals with Testors red. Tamiya Alfa Romeo DTM. Maybe the best engineered kits ever!!! Tamiya Mazda GT prototype. MORE photos here.....thx https://public.fotki.com/DaveVan51/pre-2008-builds/
  6. It looks 40ft to me.........
  7. You are doing well!
  8. Looks GREAT!!! I have built the S&H version and a Bill Elliott Cup racer. I bought a number of the stock kits when Hobby Lobby blew them out!
  9. I'll play along........ Bad Spad......
  10. That baffled me to no end!!! Pete's Matador always had an issue when on screen.....even had a minor fender bender and talked about how much it cost to fix!!!! I kinda wonder if by season seven the relationship with AMC had grown thin. Maybe it was Jack Webb;s way of getting back at AMC. Something strange going on for sure!
  11. The photo above is a screen grab from season 7 ep 1. They used 2 Matadors that season or they swapped wheels during the season . I like the volcano wheels better plus that's what the kit comes with. thanks
  12. Super!!!
  13. METV plays it M-F. Pete got the Matador ep 1 Season 7, Tonight thet started the series over at ep 1 s 1 so it will be a while before s7 again!!.
  14. No...not the black and white 4 door.... Pete's personal car for season 7 of the series Adam-12. This is being built from a model I built around 1975 rather poorly. But I used the glue sparingly so it came appart easy and Citri-strip removed all the baby blue Testors I had applied. Now after I made the vinyl top moldings I painted it Sunshine Yellow with a Nutmeg interior and top. Lots to do yet....but I had to mock it up to see how it was going. So far very happy with it. Thanks (yes.....I have about 4 projects going at the same time.....messy desk!)
  15. I clicked the 'mark all as read' and forum loaded in about 7 seconds vs the 40 it was, Did not seem to loose and followed content....we'll see. Thanks
  16. Thanks sir!!! I love that rear 3/4 shot......... small disclaimer.....I own a 1/1 scale 46 Ford Super DeLux so I am a bit bias!!!
  17. It's different....and cool!
  18. I have a 30 Woody in waiting....any wood detailing hints??? Thx
  19. $20K mark up is bad.......the 'nitro tires' for $80 is even worse!!! A sham. I'm a Ford guy.....only GM I bought new was a 1982 Z28 which I liked. I'd buy a base model Vette but will never pay over sticker. I built a new Vette on the Chevy website at $60K....a deal in my book....GM or not.
  20. That's not a Petty 43....the blue is not the Petty blue. Could be a number of independent drivers. Tim.....I like the version you picked of the Donlevy 72.....do you know how many races they ran with this scheme??? It's one I have not seen before.....most Donlevy cars had the scalloped red mask on the front end. Looks good....
  21. Looks great....the wood is fantastic!!
  22. I'm not Tim.....but the Panch decals were included in the Model King issue of the old MPC 1972 Gran Torino kit done back 2008 or there about. Each of the MK kits came with decals for 4 version or more. The Torino came with the Panch, Dunlevy, Bud Moore and a few fantasy schemes.
  23. Nice clean build....great stance. Really nice to see someone use the Panch decals I put in the MK kit. I put them in there because I met Richie a few times....nice guy. Thanks
