Revell 1/28 WW I
Dave Van replied to Flynlo's topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
Well done. Wonder why they picked 1/28?? Close enough to 1/25.....I have the kits....but built very different! -
When I bought my 46 coupe I was looking for a sedan.....but after I saw the coupe I saw there was plenty of room for grandkids in back......still love the sedans! I want to put the bumpers back on mine....but that will be $$$$$

THANKS!!! I bought the car in FEB 1975 for $600 from Young Ford Charlotte. Daily driver for many years. Finished a restoration just in time for the rainiest weekend ever at Charlotte Motor Speedway for Mustang 55th show 2019. Small block Ford with Top Loader 4sp.

Did same with two of my hobby cars. Checked everything and went for a ride. Then put them both away as no shows........ Cool Toyota! Janet Guthrie started racing in one of those!

Quick build......Lindberg 27 T cartoon style.....

1/24 scale. It was inspired by Disney hot rods. Look up 'All the Cats join in' and see...... -

I think it's a combo of all those 50's and 60's hot rods that were almost stereotypes. It was fun.....thanks -
I was very unhappy back in the day when I bought this kit. It is 1/28 scale....AND very simple. Tamiya did a much better Capri.......

This is another build of the old 1960's era Linberg kits that they reissued back 10 years ago or so. I picked them up cheap....and enjoy making something from them. This build is kinda a tribute to a disney animated short that had teens, early 50's, riding around in old fender less hot rods. This is my version. Revell 29 Ford P/U supplied wheels, tires and nose/grille. Just a fun build....thanks

With the Salvinos 1986 Pontiac GP 2+2 kit hitting the shelves it reminded me I had a built 2+2 in the vault. (otherwise know as the box in the basement) Rusty Wallace's 1986 NASCAR ride. This is the old Monogram kit with the JNJ resin conversion and Fred Cady decals. Two vendors that are no more! It was built around 1988 so she holds up well. . I bought two of the Salvinos 86 2+2 kits...very good....not perfect but nice to have a kit of this car.

Fantastic work!!! I love those Monogram classic kits......I was told once by a Monogram exec that these kits were a labor of love as they never sold well.

Richie Panch Torino
Dave Van replied to yellowsportwagon's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
YES!! Happy to see someone else build Richie's car. I did the decals in the MK kit.....and I had to do the Panch car. I was lucky enough to meet Richie a few times. I can't wait to see yours!!! Hope you don't mind me showing mine. It is box stock due to the fact we used it to promote the kit.....so I had to stay with whats in the box. Thanks -
