Correct......I should have remembered......a good buddy bought the first one the dealer got......after it was about 5 years old it suffered many issues......both door handles broke......they were up in a B pillar IIRC. -

The 89 Thunderbird, Cougar and GP are all Revell 1/25 scale as the Monogram kits were 1/24. Bob had his hands in all of them. I built a 89 Cougar IMSA version from a test shot, as Bob wanted a to pitch it as a kit. Bob and Gary Schmidt at Hot Rod National model contest photo the Cougar. Needless to say the project never made it.....it was to be a long line of other road race cars. Oh well.... -

Even the dogs, Chevy Citation, build well without issues and look like the real car. Many of the kits of that era are designed by Bob Johnson. I got to see first hand his process when he did the design work for a car that a friend owned. I have a few of his drawings. One from that era.... -
2nd version later in the year........If it sold 3K kits I'd be OK!

Kinda standard marketing today. Run a batch of 5k.......if it sells out fast run another 3K. If it sells slow one run and done. New box and decals 4 years later. A tool that is intact and good condition will never go away.

Testors Bug Yellow...not sure they still make it. Thanks

The AMT 350Z can be hard to track down.....and it is far from movie correct. I like movie cars so I have all the kits....and there are a few that I'd like to see as kits. Tokyo Drift was the last FnF movie that was 'CAR' based.....after that they became car stunt movies. I'll buy the FnF Plymouth.....

Good to get the Plymouth back......

State Farm for 45 years. There is cheaper.....but my agent is a car guy and makes sure I am taken care of. When our house was damaged in a bad storm they were on site in hours, wrote a check to replace roof and even food lost due to no power.

Most of the blame. IMHO, goes to this new aero package. A perfect wedge, sealed at the 3 sides becomes a wing when turned around. Add to it....you are correct the 'wreck' started at the white flag but no one really wrecked until the end. I am just so happy Newman walked out today on his own. Thanks God.

And I had a Vac-U-Form, Thing maker, toy guns that shot plastic bullets at a high rate and fireworks available to any one, any age year round. I have all my fingers and my eyes......though old age is getting them. And I had 100 times more fun than kids today. Burned fingers and firecrackers exploding in your hand was part of growing up. Not a single parent I knew want to sue Mattel for burned fingers when you tested the Thingmaker with your pinkie! A Revell B-17 loaded with firecrackers, lit and thrown into the air was fun! Then you collected all the parts and did an investigation. I did even worse things as a teen....some of which may have killed me....but still here. I get protecting your kids....but I have no regrets!!!
