  1. WOW Never even heard of these models! Any other details??? As a T/A fan, Penske, Doohue fan and Javelin owner.....I'd love to have one. Thanks
  2. Thanks for the info.....to rich for me for that!!!! My 1/32 version was under $10 shipped.....that I'll pay!
  3. I have seen every SW film first showing first day. Ep 9 is OK, better than Ep 8 for sure. As many plot holes as baby Swiss cheese....but worth seeing once anyway. Doubt I'll see it 20 times like I saw the original!!!!
  4. It's so bad it's good!!!! I have a 1/32 kit like that but never seen a 1/24 kit!! I think I'd be cool......how much $$$$ and where???
  5. How well does it scale out????? JADA is bad about box scale.
  6. The decal biz is tough. I been involved in two different aftermarket decal companies. My current biz has hundreds of different decals......many of which have been copied and currently for sale on ebay by a ......less than honest seller. Multiply 200 decals but the many hours each took to create then have someone steal them. VRM may not have a problem with theft but even if not it's a huge investment in time and money not knowing if you will ever sell enough to recover your cost. For about $4000 we can get some printed at Chartahraf with in six months. But who wants to put up the cash???
  7. Agreed.......cut the ring from the inside of the tires and use the back side out with GY decals. Also get aftermarket decal...kit decals are junk IMHO only.
  8. The folks that pay the bills at R2 do whatever they WANT to do. It's so easy to sit back and tell them what they need to do. If any one wants to prove R2 wrong and has the cash, the design guys, injection machines are waiting for you. Keep in mind the licensing, approvals, delays and paychecks that are cut LONG before a single kit is made.
  9. Already a thread there......why not here too??????
  10. Nice and clean build!!! Those JoHan Torinos have a ton of street stock trim to remove....good work.
  11. Check with Mile's Decals for kits w/o decals at a lower price. He has them most of the time.
  12. It did make some 'show' passes......... As a kid I got to sit in Boot Hill....sitting still on a car show floor...it was scary!!!!! at speed!!!!
  13. Salvinos did not get any tooling that was cut in China. That tooling is co-owned by the Chinese Govt. So the last Monte Carlo, Dodge, Taurus and GP kits are still in China and Revell only has access to them.

    Porsche 935-77

FYI Free Time has the Beemax 935 kit for $25 right now....good deal.....
  15. Tire mold is all new to the Salvinos kits.........they were not in the mold deal.
  16. Yep.........2020 mid year I hear.
  17. Not done it myself....but DC have little in common with kits so it'd be tough I bet. Put it on a shelf and enjoy.
  18. What a great spin on that kit(s)!!!! I love both those kits and this came out great!
  19. My last order was with the 'last call'........72 Torino grille and Javelin rear spoiler.....happy to get them!
  20. My closest WM had nothing as usual........but Elkins WV had the R2 display. There were a few kits I may have picked up but they were $25 so not something I needed that much. What happened to the $7 brown box kits!?!?!?!?!
  21. WOW WOW .....I just finished watching the Carolla Netflix 'Shelby American'.......I need to build those GT-40 sitting in the stash!!! You did GREAT!!
  22. Very cool conversion!!!
  23. That too makes sense...........but the all chrome tanker seems a odd pick for a private run. That and the tractor trucks seem like stock on hand that was not moving. So it ends up looking like a mix.......but we are all guessing unless Tom Lowe chimes in!!
  24. No real info here......just guessing......Could be that R2 needs to run let's say 5K kits to get a good price from vendor in China. They know they will sell 3K in normal channel and Ollie's will buy the overage at 40% of their retail of $10.....a wholesaler normal. R2 gets the price point from vendor, more kits into hands....a win win..........just sayin.....
