I am not exactly known as a drag race model builder. But I want to build a Monogram BADMAN and it needed someone to race. I wanted something different and I may have chosen the wrong kit to modify. But here it is. Monogram 53 Chevy kit with a lot of parts box stuff.....some of which I have no idea where it came from. Cut the hood hole wrong so she runs w/o it!! Tamiya paint, Gofers and my own decals. Tinted the window orange. Thanks for looking.

GOOD....I got one mail order and want another now!!! Thx

No inside info here just lots of retail exsperence. R2/AMT sold out the first run of the 60 Ford before they landed. The 2nd run is also about sold out. As long as the kit is this hot there is no need to sell to any mass merchandiser like HL. Once sales cool some R2 may offer the kit at the discount MM need. Until then no MM sales. Just IMHO ONLY!

Nice clean work! I am building this kit now as a scale version of my real GT350R tribute. Hope it comes out as well. -

Well done! That era is my favorite, I've built the 6 wheeler 3 times! -
The Monogram Petty version has them. Keith Marks had them at one time check with him.

Plastic kits will soon be much like Lionel Trains of the 1990's. Pre War Lionel was gold in the 60'-80's. Then a lot of collectors started passing away and he market became flooded with nice Lionel. Prices drop like a rock. In the 70's you might get $2000 for mint empty Lionel boxes. Suddenly they were just empty boxed. I have a huge collection, when time comes it will go out as a collection.

Looks great.....but if it's north of $60usd I will buy a few of the old Revell Monogram kits. Previous ICM 1/24 kits were obtainable in the $30-40 range.

I have no ill will here. Before all this BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH happened I was emailing some of these Ukraine model companies showing how I converted some of their kits to civilian use. They were very nice people....even saying they hung some of my photos for insiration. The people are great. The situation is horrible and confusing. Thanks One of my conversions -

Lionel trains, AC Gilbert and MARX all had to shut down toy production for the duration, as did many other small companies. Lionel was hired to make small die cast parts for planes.....but the only toys during the period were a paper train set'. Balsa was vital but also anything using hardwoods could not be made. I realize it's a different time and all..........but.....
