Very nice save on that one. I bought that kit back when it came out, I too saw it was nothing like the movie car. I just gave up and built it as a 'tuna' street car. It is such a odd kit for AMT.....nothing like anything they did before or after. Here is mine, hope you don't mind. thx BTW I bought the Fujimi EVO kit too yet to build

I am building this for my O scale train layout. Scratchbuilt from Plastruct materials, The complex will have about 10 models I will build on my bench then transfer them to the layout. Thanks for looking!!!

I do not have that kit....but the Japnese 1/25 scale kits of that era I do have are 1/28 and battery op with clunky details. Never seen in that box

While I do not understand the infatuation with this kit, other than being so rare, any new tooling is good thing. Why did they not use the new tool duster from a few years back?? Seems odd to start all over. I know that Duster had some window shape issue but do not recall major chassis/engine problems. Thanks

$24 to send a kit to my buddy in So Cal.......

2023 Mack Granite Logging Truck
Dave Van replied to Gary Chastain's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I like that Mack cab. My daughter in law's family owns a trucking company and they are 100% Mack Granite. This is their display truck for shows and parades. -
Those that were only made once
Dave Van replied to T-Ray's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
When I worked at a hobby shop our wholesaler offered us these for $1. I grabbed 3. Think we'd see it again. I bet Atlantis has it. -

AMT727 Koo-Koo-Kar… has it come yet?
Dave Van replied to funnycarfan's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
If you place the Pyro Stage body next to the Lindberg scale 1/16 stage coach body, YES the Pyro is undersize. But most showrods are undersize. The Famous Beer Wagon by TD is almost 1/32 scale!!! The Raiders stage body itself is a little undersize so would look really bad on a 1/16 model. If people are really interested I can pull all 3 bodies and show side by side........but I am off to the NASCAR race soon so it will be next week.....IF any one cares to see it. Thx
