I have all these Revell Corvair powered Renault based showrod kits. This is the 2nd finished. MRC wheels and tires, Tamiya French Blue. I made the flowers as the kit flowers were just small circles. Slight mod to chassis to look better. Thanks

what is Tamiya TS-65 pearl clear used for?
Dave Van replied to drugsarebad420's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Tamiya pearl over gloss white. Note difference between body and roof. NOT a huge difference....I like it. -
As a owner of a real 1966 Mustang fastback I was thrilled to see the return of this kit. I bought 3 right off the bat. Overall it's the old coupe tooling with new interior, body and hood and some wheels. After I did normal prep of mold lines and flash, I shot some Tamiya white primer on the body. I then noticed the body had a rough texture to it. The side were bad, upper surfaces not so bad. It took 3 prime, wet to get a just OK surface to paint. I then used a entire new can of Tamiya bright red just for the body....still not 100% but I am moving on. Anyone else have one of these kits with rough surface or did I get a run before they finish polished the tooling. Thanks

I've built a few of these AMT Gremlins..... IMHO the chassis is way to narrow and I add strip plastic to each side along the door sills. I also grind off pin marks on the top of the chassis to allow the interior to sit correct. I'll be watching....good luck! BTW AMC cars for this era were not junk. Because they were at the bottom of the price for a car they were treated like trash. I own two AMC's from this era. BOTH cars I am the 2nd owner and the cars were well cared for. GREAT cars really!!!

There is a block sender function. The issue is scammers/spammers change their email address daily, sometimes more than once a day. They add a character or number and now the addy you blocked is different. I have had my 'Hotmail' addy since early 1990's so I get on all the lists......I just do a mass delete everyday.

Current cars you have to go to resin which is $$$. Start with vintage Tamiya kits

EVERY time I ask a question about a wandering package I get 'Working as designed' which is the TRUTH!!!! The system is designed in a manner that package routing is a 50/50 deal and that's OK......As long as a package is moving once every 3 days.......that is viewed as a good thing. The fact it may go in a circle......well it is keeping the work force active.....and after all that is the goal....no idle hands.......working right or wrong. I theory with the vast majority of packages having the BIG barcode at the bottom of the label, mis routing should be around 0.01%.......but by the number of people here that report packages going on LONG vacations in seems more like 40% of packages make on wrong turn or at least stall for days. My most recent was a package shipped FROM West Virginia, then VA, next to PA then to NC, off to SC to Six Mile Creek were it sat for 3 days before heading back to me in West Virginia. NO way this was working as designed for a systems whos goal is accurate fast delivery........but is for a system that just wants all hands busy. Thanks
