  1. Good prices on all Tamiya....paints and kits...so I wait 3-4 days to ship....have it in a few more. Beats 3 hours drive to hobby shop @$3,50 a gallon in my F-150!!!
  2. 3 to 4 is normal for me.
  3. On the Salvinos pod cast they said 1/20 was ch0oosen to cater to the international market were 1/20 open wheel kits are big. They also feel the $80 per kit is cheap on the international market. SO...........................
  4. Sad it's that bad...............
  5. Teresa holds what is left of DEI (shop is still 100% intact and kinda spooky) BUT I'd hope that Dale Jr and Kelly have SOME pull on the matter. I know they do not have a good relationship.....but come on.......Dale Jr should have a say is Sr estate.
  6. Great realistic look. My daughter in law family owns a trucking company.....they use only MACK trucks.....
  7. DEI owns the rights to DE Sr 'name'. The #3 car is owned by ECE under 'Trade Dress' copyright. Thus no NAME on the #3 kit other than RCR. $55 is gonna be a tough sell. The old Monogram MCSS kits go around $10 at shows. I hope Salvinos tried going through DE Jr for licensing as he is a model car guy and may have had some input/help/
  8. My son picked up both Rat Fink kits, the old IMC trailer and the US Mail combo. He is in Lexington KY........ They had the snow dragster but passed.
  9. I'll wait and see.......$80 on an unknown......no
  10. Same shipper showed up at my WM about 10 days ago. The 66 Mustang for $22 was the only big deal to me!
  11. Same old same old at Lewisburg WV.....hope for the big rigs
  12. Those are really cool cars for the era......and the fact so many are still around is interesting. Maybe a better electric car then then those made today.
  13. It's been spotty of late. My wife goes to JoAnn every chance she gets. One time they will have 6-10 different kits, then next time zero. Sounds like JoAnn may be getting back into carrying kits..we'll see.
  14. Because it is selling well. Until they have stock sitting in the warehouse no need to sell to Hobby Lobby. I doubt the HL buyer is putting a lot of pressure on R2 for the 68 kit. May not be a die hard plastic buyer......just another dept they cover. More than likely a craft buyer who has the plastic kit buying as an additional duty......can't see a full time buyer for kits alone. Just IMHO only!!
  15. Some nice work reworking the snap kit!!! Well done! When I was at the Wood's shop in 2019 the 500 winner was on display......................
  16. The earlier kits were nice 2 in 1 versions. For the big jump in price over the old kit with the $12.99 WM tag on it I have.....should be a 2 in 1 kit.
  17. Wife drags me there all the time.....I'll check it out. They have 50% off coupons all the time if your on their mailing list. A few Atlantis kits I'd get @ 50% off.
  18. New stuff keeps showing up.
  19. I have some Ollie's dump kits in my stash with $5.99 on them.....so yea.....they have gone up enough the risk vs profit is too high!!! I have two 1/8 Lindburg kits that have $15.00.....how things change!
  20. Someone in the club says they are 1/20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. If 1/25 zero international sales........1/20 they will sell more outside the USA.
  22. Toyota is building a 18 wheeler hydrogen powered truck using a KW cab/chassis. Toyota is betting it all on hydrogen and I think they are right.
  23. 1/35 vs 1/32 may have some roots in 'box scale' too. I have also seen older 1/32 scale kits now listed as 1/35 so it shows the two scales are so close this moving of scale is accepted by many.
  24. Also with them buying the RM tooling, which was 1/24, you get some continuity among eras.
  25. I may be the only one.....but I'd like to see them in 1/20 scale.........Almost all my open wheel models are 1/20. I'd be more open to buying in that scale.
