  1. I may be the only one.....but I'd like to see them in 1/20 scale.........Almost all my open wheel models are 1/20. I'd be more open to buying in that scale.
  2. Mail truck is a deal!..........even the Rat trailer is good. thx for sharing
  3. My store Lewisburg got more new stuff (for them) COKE D-50 and Bug, 66 Pontiac, Bat wing. Seems stuff is rolling out in waves......someone is dumping lots of stuff.
  4. WOW....lots of new stuff!!!! Was the old IMC trailer $13???? I'd take another at that price!!!!!!
  5. Right but just paint no body mods. CGI the J for the few seconds on screen
  6. Very well done!!! The J is my favorite prototype racer. Wonder why it was left out of 'Ford vs Ferrari'?? I know it would have been a very short scene but very pivotal to the whole story.
  7. VERY nice paint, build and weathering!!!! My Father in law was a P-36 mechanic most of WW-II.
  8. BTW my Walmart got a R2 shipper with new kits. Picked 2 1966 Mustang 2+2 @ $22 each
  9. If I ever get internet back I'll post pics of my haul from Salem Va store!!! Ford van, turbo rail, Concorde, rancharo oke edition, grove boss. Good haul as my local store had none of these. Thc
  10. My way.................. I rub the tire sidewall on cloth or old T shirt. This kind smooths the surface and makes decals adhere better. Apply tire decal like any decal. I apply Walthers Solvaset to set them and make decal conform. After 2-3 says I spray with 2 light coats of Testors dull coat clear. Results
  11. When the Chevelle AWB kit comes back we will have most of the parts needed I think........
  12. GOOD thing many of those are NOT at my ollies!!!!!! I love them FORD vans!!!
  13. Another great team effort on a issue.
  14. To be fair Ollie's is not a model or even hobby shop. It's a overstock seller. They order nothing. In this case R2 or however said I got 2,000 assorted model kits....you want them?. They said yep! When the model arrive at their dist center they just throw X number of cases into trucks headed for stores. No rhyme or reason. Taking time to divide up each case so each store gets the same mix takes a LOT of time.....and time is money. I'd LOVE to have gotten some Nova wagons and 64 Fords but the luck of the draw was not with me. My store must have gotten50 of the Caddy Shark Surf wagon....others ZERO. The nature of Ollie's methods. But you are right it's a horrible hobby store!!!
  15. COOL!! I like both 1/1 and 1/25.........but owning a 1/1 46 I am bias!
  16. Such great kits.....another well done!
  17. VERY well done. A fav scheme too!!!! I think that kit may be THE best fitting kit of all time!! Mine just fell together without even a slight hitch!!! Hope you do not mind...here is under hood shot to share.
  18. AMT 1974 up Matador has a decent 304-401 AMC engine.
  19. I THINK it's more like WalMart got the over stock R2 had, selling at a higher retail. Then with more overstock still on hand, the rest went to Ollie's who wanted a better price than WalMart was willing. When you run a kit and produce let's say 5K. You sell 3K of them instantly. But your profit is tied to the 2K worth of kits in the warehouse. Dumping them frees capital to move forward. IKHO only. Thx
  20. Got my 4 kits today. Well packed in a box. All good. Best kit was the Hasagawa 50's girls figure set. Very well done with great detail. Their skirts are not molded solid as many are.
  21. My son checked Lexington KY stores.....ZERO new stuff.........
  22. This was Lewisburg WV...........But my son is on vacation in NC and they had a whole different lot. Concorde snapper, modified and others.....
