  1. VERY well done!!! I have 2 in my stash.........someday
  2. Outer Banks!!!! That's where the family is heading SAT. I'm staying home to do real car work.... Cool build of a kit I did not know was made!!! Like the color......
  3. Nice work....amazing how different from todays cars!
  4. I had one model, MANY years ago, have the Future crack on. It was a new paint I was trying and did not allow enough time for the paint to gas out. From then on I allow paint to gas out for a few weeks and never had an issue again. Been sing Future since early 1980's when I saw it demo at a IPMS meet.
  5. That was cool thanks!!! Anyone else reedy to go back tot the fifties??? Not just cars.......the people, the mood.....family......... I kept the trend of cars and people alive into the 70's.......
  6. Check older hardware stores for NOS supply. Per a post on Spotlight it is no longer made and SCJ is out of that biz. There are other floor shine brands that work the same. There is a thread on this forum about the other brands.
  7. I'd also look at Dupli-color primers, semi gloss black LAQUER.
  8. NICE to see a stock build.
  9. I like it!!! Wish we had more kits of open wheelers from 60's & 70's.......in a bigger scale.
  10. Very well done!!! Need to save my pennies and find that one!
  11. I forgot about the Kar Kare version!!!! IIRC I tried the AMT on the MPC and I think it fit pretty close.
  12. Not Tim here.....but it looks like the Laguna nose that was included with the AMT Chevelle kit for years, The recent POND kit reissue that part was removed.
  13. Nice work and cool conversion idea!!! Always liked that car.....and Benny was a great guy. I worked with his wife on a few license deals.
  14. Great to see you AND the Boot Hill Saturday!! Photos re fine but great to see it in person. A winner too!!! Thx
  15. Nice clean work on a fav
  16. One of the modern F1 cars I liked. Yours is really well done. I have the kit in the stash.....but......
  17. CLEAN with a nice stance.
  18. After decals have dried for a week I wash the model wih WARM damp paper towel. NOT soaking the decal....more a damp wipe. I find this cleans things up. A NOTE: I use SOLVASET decal set which may differ over Micro stuff. Here is a black car...you can see they will clean up before clear coat.
  19. Yes....I do allow layer one to dry 12-24 hours (overnight) before I apply a decal over it. Thx
  20. Whoever has it.........I want this PYRO kit.......... It is a variation of the Serpent so if it is around.....R2 has it.
  21. I apply ALL decals then coat with future......always works for me........
  22. There was a HUGE Daytona like track in a basement in Hickory NC for many years. It was so big it was hard to see your car at the far end!!! Wonder what happened to it....or is it still in that basement. I moved to WV from Charlotte in 2001 so I have not checked!!
  23. Nice clean work!!! Whos decals?
  24. I use Future (or whatever replaced it) after decals have been on model a week or two.
