  1. Bandit Resins made a VERY nice 70 coupe trans kit for the RM 1/24 scale Mustang. I do not think he is open any longer......but you may hunt one down. I just checked his website.....it is still up.....I'd contact Kenny and see what is current. https://banditresins.com/index.html
  2. You did better than I did......I forgot to remove the door handles.........nice work
  3. Tamiya tape on edges, Black Sharpie pen.
  4. I have the HOUSE version along with 2 of the cars. I want to try and build a car, glued together and painted, with my extra kit.
  5. Not sure if you keep up with the current die cast market or not. My son, who grew up when die cast got big and we were in the biz, has a huge collection. He just added 20 more Saturday while at the Martinsville Cup race. What did he pay for 20 1/64 mint die cast??? Less than $10. If you post a list I will send it to him to see if he is interested......but be forewarned that the market price, to move them, is REALLY low. thx
  6. I do not own one of these......but only found out about it last month............Owning a real Matador coupe I NEED one!!!! AMT sold under license.....there is a Gremlin too.
  7. I have two that I feel are 'RARE'. One a production kit....the other not. Accurate Miniatures NASCAR Ford Taurus kit. The whole kit can be seen here https://public.fotki.com/DaveVan51/accurate-miniatures/ The kit was completed just as the NASCAR fad dies off.....and AM was having 'problems'. LXG Nemo's car. Not sure how many made....but not many!!
  8. In the 1990's Lionel STANDARD gauge trains (BIG trains not the O we know today) flooded the market as those that collected them were born 1890-1910 and were passing away. Most current collectors had no connection with trains made in the 1930's so Lionel STANDARD value went from HIGH to can't give them away. I knida feel the same thing coming on with plastic models. BUT it ain't slowing me down none!!!!
  9. VERY well done!!! I have 2 in my stash.........someday
  10. Outer Banks!!!! That's where the family is heading SAT. I'm staying home to do real car work.... Cool build of a kit I did not know was made!!! Like the color......
  11. Nice work....amazing how different from todays cars!
  12. I had one model, MANY years ago, have the Future crack on. It was a new paint I was trying and did not allow enough time for the paint to gas out. From then on I allow paint to gas out for a few weeks and never had an issue again. Been sing Future since early 1980's when I saw it demo at a IPMS meet.
  13. That was cool thanks!!! Anyone else reedy to go back tot the fifties??? Not just cars.......the people, the mood.....family......... I kept the trend of cars and people alive into the 70's.......
  14. Check older hardware stores for NOS supply. Per a post on Spotlight it is no longer made and SCJ is out of that biz. There are other floor shine brands that work the same. There is a thread on this forum about the other brands.
  15. I'd also look at Dupli-color primers, semi gloss black LAQUER.
  16. NICE to see a stock build.
  17. I like it!!! Wish we had more kits of open wheelers from 60's & 70's.......in a bigger scale.
  18. Very well done!!! Need to save my pennies and find that one!
  19. I forgot about the Kar Kare version!!!! IIRC I tried the AMT on the MPC and I think it fit pretty close.
  20. Not Tim here.....but it looks like the Laguna nose that was included with the AMT Chevelle kit for years, The recent POND kit reissue that part was removed.
  21. Nice work and cool conversion idea!!! Always liked that car.....and Benny was a great guy. I worked with his wife on a few license deals.
  22. Great to see you AND the Boot Hill Saturday!! Photos re fine but great to see it in person. A winner too!!! Thx
