  1. Really cool model.....well done!!! I'd like to find something like it
  2. My grandmother lived for 2 years with it. She was living with Dad which was VERY hard for him. Before the end he had to have all doors and windows locked at night or she'd go for a walk. It might be the most horrible disease we deal with LONG TERM today. My brother in law also just passed from Dementia but between being 500 miles away and my sister in law being in good health she shielded us from most of it. I am really sorry I have no decent advice or coping skills around it. All I can say is I'll pray that you stay strong during this very difficult time.
  3. If you watch any of the Youtube 'train watching' videos, most of them run the railroads radio traffic and you can hear the robot voice announce the number of axles it detected and weather any were HOT. The crew knows how many axles they are pulling and all this must match to each Hot Box announcement. It's pretty automated and fool proof. When the final NTSB report comes out I'd not want to be that crew.
  4. me too now on yours.........
  5. DITTO.......plus I could not like a post??
  6. Another one you do not see often.....well done!!!
  7. IIRC it's in one of the R2 coming videos.......
  8. The OHIO derailment started with a hot box detector going off. (from the reading I've done) The NS crew decided to try and make it to PA before inspecting and/or setting out the rail car with the bad bearing. If that is true, that they did not even stop and inspect the Hot Box report......it's all on the NS crew. Sounds like they violated a number of rules and laws. I have a number of family and friends in the rail industry. Our family has been in the biz in many form for over 100 years. It is a VERY hard job. I understand it better than many of the 'Experts' making calls today. But if this crew did as it is being reported.......100% negligence on the part of NS and that crew.
  9. Steve.....nice work. That car is one of the kinda obscure cars. Mine is different than yours.....I built it way back but I think I just used the Slixx decals....did you use something else?? Thanks
  10. I wish it was a 2 door......it was a 4 door. I built mine as a 2 door to keep alterations to a minimum.
  11. I agree the nose on the 2022 Camaro, IN MODEL FORM, may be hard to tell from a 2023........but NASCAR put out a side by side photo that shows it is VERY different. The 2023 noce was a good 6 inches lower, much less pointed.....very different. If Monogram had done this back in the da......modelers would give them heck!!
  12. Been using it longer than I can recall. I use it for color block, sealer and just a primer. I always sand coats with 1000, 4000, 6000 before I apply color. I find it a great paint. 3 coats of #1699 sanded. Then with 3 coats of Tamiya TS-14
  13. Just sent msg thx
  14. YEP! PM for info
  15. Many thanks....I THINK I have one coming!!! THANKS
  16. Slow progress.....basement flooded after 2" of rain here in WV, that took 2 days. But I have gotten the color on the body and just need to polish it. Tamiya TS14 spray can black. Now a request!!!! I came home one day and my model room door was open. Not a good thing. I have 3 cats, 2 of them are barn cats that behave well. The 3rd is a large Siamese that is always in trouble. If you have ever seen Disney's 'Lady and the Tramp' the Siamese in that film are good compared to mine. Well on checking my open model room....I see SI, my Siamese, has been on my desk......and a rear tire is missing and lots of stuff on the floor. I looked for two days for the tire.....but SI loves anything that rolls......needless to say that tire did that well. So I need a Tamiya rear from the 70's-80's era kits. I'd buy another kit but these things are pretty high right now.....and just to steal a tire......SO if anyone has a rear they can spare???? Thanks
  17. Great work and model!!! I understand Model ADD..../I have many projects....but just bought a 1/12 935K kit.....like I need more......
  18. I picked up a mint MPC kit last year......Love that car. The MPC version has the pickle fork front end option unlike the IMC version. Thx
  19. Kinda proof that these were made together and just for Ollie's......................
  20. Were the Atlantis tank kits $13 too???? Not far from retail. Thx
