  1. Tours came out better than mine....you made it look as good as anyone could!!!! I was REAL unhappy with the fit, finish and details.....other than that a nice kit!!!!
  2. Nice work on the REAL Elanor!!
  3. WOW.....shocker.......
  4. I LIKE IT!!!!!!
  5. This has really been a cool thread!!!!! This kit may be a stretch of the topic....but follow me!!!!! It is a plastic 1/25 model of a automotive assembly ROBOT! So if I built it......maybe it could help me build models?!?!?!?!?
  6. Hobby Lobby just puts the MSRP on the box. Blame Manufactures for that. I never pay it at Hobby Lobby or elsewhere. The plastic model companies have gone to the same method model trains manufactures in that MSRP is the listed price but street price is often 20 to 40% off that.
  7. NO........Salvinos is a all new tool.......they did clone a few parts......but all their tooling.
  8. If we talk resin........I can do that too........... Penngwen Hobbies IMSA GTO Nissan 300ZX. Only 95 were made. Full disclosure: Penngwen Hobbies was me!!!! So I am bias!!! Thx
  9. I did the decal artwork for the Hudson kit.....and a good friend did the art for the box art. Had a good time working with Moebius and Model King before Pegasus bought Moebius. Good haul
  10. I've never seen any word from Atlantis about the old Revell Mopars......but never said anything about Poison Pinto either!!! The issue with the old Mopar kits was the tires were a very odd size and were missing. So if reissued they'd need a new tire tool or wheels retooled. Either way it will cost Peter money....maybe someday.
  11. Revell is doing some great box art of late. Do not need another Cobra......but a Cobra at LAX....cool!!!
  12. Odd man out....most excited about the modified Poison Pinto!!!!!
  13. One more to add. With all the talk of a big Ford kit going around. Dug this one out and took photo. It's a AMT kit imported to UK by FROG. Plastic is the same but box and crazy decals are all FROG. KINDA a Wood Bros car, they never ran one and the numbers are rainbow with black roof not candy apple red. Paid $80 for it in the 1980's....a lot back then. Still a good deal.
  14. Never looked at that swap.....I did the 71 way back but it was pretty bad, my work not kit fit.
  15. The 70 Mustang coupe roof is very different. A 71-73 Cougar roof works for making a 71-73 Mustang notch back.
  16. Bandit Resins made a VERY nice 70 coupe trans kit for the RM 1/24 scale Mustang. I do not think he is open any longer......but you may hunt one down. I just checked his website.....it is still up.....I'd contact Kenny and see what is current. https://banditresins.com/index.html
  17. You did better than I did......I forgot to remove the door handles.........nice work
  18. Tamiya tape on edges, Black Sharpie pen.
  19. I have the HOUSE version along with 2 of the cars. I want to try and build a car, glued together and painted, with my extra kit.
  20. Not sure if you keep up with the current die cast market or not. My son, who grew up when die cast got big and we were in the biz, has a huge collection. He just added 20 more Saturday while at the Martinsville Cup race. What did he pay for 20 1/64 mint die cast??? Less than $10. If you post a list I will send it to him to see if he is interested......but be forewarned that the market price, to move them, is REALLY low. thx
  21. I do not own one of these......but only found out about it last month............Owning a real Matador coupe I NEED one!!!! AMT sold under license.....there is a Gremlin too.
  22. I have two that I feel are 'RARE'. One a production kit....the other not. Accurate Miniatures NASCAR Ford Taurus kit. The whole kit can be seen here https://public.fotki.com/DaveVan51/accurate-miniatures/ The kit was completed just as the NASCAR fad dies off.....and AM was having 'problems'. LXG Nemo's car. Not sure how many made....but not many!!
  23. In the 1990's Lionel STANDARD gauge trains (BIG trains not the O we know today) flooded the market as those that collected them were born 1890-1910 and were passing away. Most current collectors had no connection with trains made in the 1930's so Lionel STANDARD value went from HIGH to can't give them away. I knida feel the same thing coming on with plastic models. BUT it ain't slowing me down none!!!!
