  1. I had a partial in 2019. Every situation is different. A 2nd opinion is a very good idea. Left alone mine would have killed me in the end. BUT it is a major operation. Major as in recovery time and changes you go through. Not going to give details here, not the place, but I got sick in May and it took 9 months before I was 'normal' again. Still today some side effects. But I am still here and enjoying life. Good luck, hope whatever you do works for you.
  2. Wasn't there two Mustang II and a Pinto??? I used the Fire Fighter to do this one..................... Then add a few parts and decals...............
  3. In 1989 I started a Roush IMSA Cougar race car. In 1/12 scale I had zero parts I could use as made. I bit off more than I should have.......been in a box since 1990 after I failed making a body for it..........doubt my skills will every catch up to the level needed.......
  4. Nice neat work!!! Twice as much on the bodies!!! Who's decals??
  5. Thanks Rich........Who made it is nice to know.....but I am happy someone DID make a DN3 and I was able to stumble upon it!!! THANKS!
  6. As a retired resin caster.........it is a TOUGH biz!!! The real world ROI is pretty bad. I bought my first 3D printed FULL kit. I bought it from a company that, in the past, had made resin kits. Having one of their resin kits and one of their 3D kits I admit I like the resin kit better. The 3D kit has some GREAT features but will require more work as far as prep work. The time, cost and effort to make GOOD resin is getting to high to make it 'fun' AND profitable. I think it's that simple. One of my resin kits.......
  7. The casting was a little crude for Jorgenson work too. No matter I am very happy to have it. Thanks all!!
  8. My build thread now has a bad date in heading forever??? Wish I had know. Thanks for the info.
  9. Interior is in minus head (which if you know the Tom Pryce story is in poor taste, sorry) Engine and rear suspension installed. Now I need to decide weather to decal or add front suspension. Front is pretty fragile so I may need to decal the body next. Scoop and rear wing need one more coat of black.....they will be last to instill. Thanks for looking!!
  10. Really cool model.....well done!!! I'd like to find something like it
  11. My grandmother lived for 2 years with it. She was living with Dad which was VERY hard for him. Before the end he had to have all doors and windows locked at night or she'd go for a walk. It might be the most horrible disease we deal with LONG TERM today. My brother in law also just passed from Dementia but between being 500 miles away and my sister in law being in good health she shielded us from most of it. I am really sorry I have no decent advice or coping skills around it. All I can say is I'll pray that you stay strong during this very difficult time.
  12. If you watch any of the Youtube 'train watching' videos, most of them run the railroads radio traffic and you can hear the robot voice announce the number of axles it detected and weather any were HOT. The crew knows how many axles they are pulling and all this must match to each Hot Box announcement. It's pretty automated and fool proof. When the final NTSB report comes out I'd not want to be that crew.
  13. me too now on yours.........
  14. DITTO.......plus I could not like a post??
  15. Another one you do not see often.....well done!!!
  16. IIRC it's in one of the R2 coming videos.......
  17. The OHIO derailment started with a hot box detector going off. (from the reading I've done) The NS crew decided to try and make it to PA before inspecting and/or setting out the rail car with the bad bearing. If that is true, that they did not even stop and inspect the Hot Box report......it's all on the NS crew. Sounds like they violated a number of rules and laws. I have a number of family and friends in the rail industry. Our family has been in the biz in many form for over 100 years. It is a VERY hard job. I understand it better than many of the 'Experts' making calls today. But if this crew did as it is being reported.......100% negligence on the part of NS and that crew.
  18. Steve.....nice work. That car is one of the kinda obscure cars. Mine is different than yours.....I built it way back but I think I just used the Slixx decals....did you use something else?? Thanks
  19. I wish it was a 2 door......it was a 4 door. I built mine as a 2 door to keep alterations to a minimum.
  20. I agree the nose on the 2022 Camaro, IN MODEL FORM, may be hard to tell from a 2023........but NASCAR put out a side by side photo that shows it is VERY different. The 2023 noce was a good 6 inches lower, much less pointed.....very different. If Monogram had done this back in the da......modelers would give them heck!!
  21. Been using it longer than I can recall. I use it for color block, sealer and just a primer. I always sand coats with 1000, 4000, 6000 before I apply color. I find it a great paint. 3 coats of #1699 sanded. Then with 3 coats of Tamiya TS-14
  22. Just sent msg thx
