  1. I had a few of the 20 GAL plastic storage bins full of parts. I went through them and using small and medium size zip lock bags I sorted parts. I tried to get two to four tires per bag (sets), engine parts by type, etc. Bigger parts like chassis or body I left. I did not get EVERYTHING sorted but I am able to find things with less digging.
  2. Very nice work! GREAT DETAILS on a simple kit. I am a bit AMC bias too.................
  3. My first new car was a 82 Z28 I bought late 81 from CITY Chevy in Charlotte. Only Chevy I ever owned!!!! I liked the car.....it was fun!
  4. About as good as it gets!
  5. A LOT of younger people passing of late. I will not go into my theory but there is TONS of news on the net if you look. Sad really.....
  6. Got my latest order today.....took 7 days.....longest wait ever......still GREAT!!!!
  7. MANY times....He is great to deal with, nice product. No issues ever.....and when I messed up a decal.....he replaced it.
  8. Around 5K + -. Disclaimer: I worked and/or owned 2 different hobby shops. Current kits wholesale at the time was $3 so I bought all new kits. AND I worked for the model company's and often bartered work for kits.
  9. The IVO does seems to be in gold leaf. The decal sheet is very good....so it will work for me. A great looking car. thx
  10. The decals look great. I have yet to STUDY them as to what you need to do paint wise. I THINK if you paint the blue it will be good. My Dad worked with TV Tommy as he was Valvoline racing director so I want to build this one too. Thanks
  11. Decals are the only good thing in the kit. Stripes for 4 different colors. The windows are smaller than openings, parts do not fit well.....a mess of issues.....but I finished it as a movie car.....My own wheels and tires....NOT kit!
  12. Clone kits and parts have been common sine the 50's. Current MCM Dace Darby talks about Lindberg parts that are copies of AMT.....in the 1950's!
  13. Nice neat work, great colors.....well done
  14. If you want a CUP racer and go with the Revell kit know that the inner wheel wells on the chassis will not take a CUP tire. So you need a different chassis or cut and replace the inner wheel wells. As stated the AMT version is more work but can be made into a good Cup car. For me I use a Polar Lights or Salvinos Dodge chassis under either one.....depends on how much work and cash you want to spend. A AMT/MPC Daytona was used on this build. Kit chassis used too. Built to look like a car set up for Talladega. Thx
  15. Well aware of both ways!!! I have a line of decals. I had a dealer in Canada that helped....but he went out of biz. I have to warn people how much shipping is before they place an order. YET......companies in China get help from the US Govmnt on postage cost due to being a 'developing nation'. Right
  16. Yep again. I got he LUV kit and as I am not building it soon put it in storage. I looked at a different RoG kit to jog my brain....it didn't work.....brain still foggy. but it is a very international kit! Poland vs Turkey.......oh well...
  17. You are correct.....PARTS of the kit came from Turkey. Either way.....Revell/RoG are currently using the tooling.....so ATLANTIS does not have it.
  18. FYI........I sold a bunch of decals to a guy in VA. About a mnth later multiple copies show up on ebay by the guy who bought them. He was photo copying my decals and selling them. I reported it to ebay along with proof of what he was doing. They said the guy that stole all my work said it was his work....so nothing they could do. The seller changed his seller name and still sells my stuff today.......almost 7 years now. ebay could care less and does not want to be dragged into anything to do with stealing. Don't expect much help IF you find someone to listen.
  19. I bought one of the first 1982 Z28's City Chevy got in. It was a carb version but loaded otherwise. ONLY Chevy I ever bought. I liked the car. T Tops off in the summer time just me and the wife. But then that Z28 cause a kid to come along.....Bye Z28! I'd buy one today if I ever find a decent one.
  20. YEP! All three of those tools are in Revell's vault. I got the newer version of the LUV and IIRC it was made in Turkey so Atlantis can't do it. Vandal was last in China. Nice if TD and Revell made up.....but I hear Tom never will.
  21. I saw that posted. My only issue is shipping from Canada is often more than the parts. I got a grille from a company, EXELLENT part, but shipping was going to be more than the part. I hope something can be worked out.
  22. My Ollies had the snap Mustang and Jeep @ $7.80 last night.....still did not need them at that price.
  23. Very sad for the hobby......but even more so for Danny. I have had some major health issues that have affected my life.....but I thank God I am still able to carry on. Thanks to Dan for the GREAT items I have bought....hope new owners do him proud.
  24. I ordered a number of times in the past......but my last order took forever, maybe 7 weeks. Add to it postage has tripled.....maybe not their fault....but a FYI
