  1. Endorsed by many of the worlds Hudson experts.....Moebius' 52-53 Hornet. I took late test shots to the International HET meet and had experts from all over the world look at the kits. Got about a 100% thumbs up on them for accuracy. I, along with a number of HET club members, have built a good number of the kits. Fit, finish and accuracy are tops. Dis-claimer....I have helped out on the Hudson and other Moebius kits.....but worked with RM and RC2 and feel I am being even handed.
  2. Is that the pre-built RPG that goes for around $60??? Saw one at a hobby shop....looked cool. NICE mods!
  3. Dupli-color sealer (#1699) and Tamiya primer. The Dupli-color is like a scale primer.....and I buy the BIG can locally for less than $4 and it works great for me.
  4. I sold over 2500 kits this year.....NEED little......
  5. No slam on the show as it is today......the only constant is change. In the old days I'd take a big wad of cash....and then try and fit it all in my car for the 10 hour drive home. Last year I bought one model.......but I went to see folks...which I did....same plan this year,,,
  6. Great ideas and craftsmanship.......
  7. I plan on being there......easy to spot.....I'm in the black wheelchair!
  8. It was more difficult to get it to run well than any Tamiya R/C kit I every built....but it's working fine now....and yes beats finger spinning bits!
  9. Watch that!!!! As the 2nd owner of a 74 Matador coupe I think they look good....even my stock 34K miles one!! Where did you see thus one????? I have seen it in show coverage for years. My 74 coupe will be heading to the shop soon for some work....though not that radical!!
  10. Tamiya semi-gloss black or Dupli-color semi gloss
  11. Voting often does not work. RC2 tried it and the lunatic fringe skewed the results. Write R2, Revell and Moebius and let them know what you want. I have a copy of a letter I sent to Monogram in 1985. Of my list of ten all new kits....6 were made before the Revell buy out. Let them know!
  12. 26 Morgan Plus 8's heading North on US219 outside Lewisburg WV. I was driving South so no pics.......and I poked around the net to see it there was a meet in the area....thinking Snowshoe ski resort as car and bike clubs often meet there. No news of a meet anywhere....so not sure what it was. I'd like to see them stopped....one had the WILD air dam and wheel flares. Cool cars....looked like fun too!
  13. That's not bad....is the $55 rack required??? Forgive me I don't do Facespace and find it difficult to use.
  14. I didn't see prices.....except $55 for a empty rack!!!!!! So how much does it end up costing???
  15. Why??? Pretty easy to guess....... Willys tooling is complete and ready to run without a cash investment. They have a 3 Stooges license in hand...... Original Ala Cart is incomplete and kinda a mess. I bought one Willys and I like it.

    I like your spin!
  17. Agreed.....and silver is a good color blocker for colored plastics.....
  18. Ditto on white primer....Tamiya or Dupli-color. Never have good luck with white or yellow over gray.
  19. Life-Like by Walthers Inc of Milwaukee WI. They have a number of entry level detail HO scale vehicles. The ambulance is not Walthers IIRC ...looks like EKO maybe.
  20. Neither kit is great. I have built both....lik the Revell kit better.
  21. The Monogram 1/43 line almost did continue on after the two kits shown.......but not at Monogram!! Soon after Monogram killed the 1/43 line a key person at Monogram formed a group of folks to start a model company aimed at producing 1/43 scale plastic model kits. I was asked to help out. I modified and built 3 Starter brand 1/43 kits.....these were to be used to show what we intended to produce and to be used as display models at trade shows. I don't have the exact reasons the project/company stalled.....but the US market wasn't ready for mass produced platic 1/43 kits. This venture did turn into another model related entity but that's another story.......
  22. RIP Marty.......always loved your TV shows.......
  23. If you are referring to the kit itself..... No insider info on this exact kit.....but I know often in licensing you get a blanket license. R2 had a license for the 3 Stooges figure kits. They then did the 40 Panel.....sold enough to warrant a Willys kit. Remember the tooling is long paid for. If they can get non model car guys to buy a model because it's 3 Stooges.....a win-win for us and them. I bought ONE.....may never build it.....I thought it was cool idea....and a free whoopie cushion??? I'm in! Called getting the most for your license fees.
  24. I vote MPC with a door cut open. IIRC the IMC kit had a nose that was a bit different than shown.....but unless I go pull both kits can't say 100%.
