I watch HPI unbox on every video and then bail. The negativity towards him comes from. I FEEL, comments like 'Yes there is a lot of flash...but if you can't handle it go back to Mom's basement'. He has a number of like sayings and it turns off many. More ower to him. -

I have a number of YouTube model videos over there. I do not do How To as I figure there are plenty of those already and most of us know how to bild. I may mention how I did something.....but no ste by step. Plus mine are ALL under 5 minutes so you don't spend a day watch. I look at it as sharing your work, like we do here, in a different format. Thanks https://www.youtube.com/@davevan8864 -

My latest with some news........ I ordered a model part, it shipped from Mexico. I figured it would take a while. After only one week it showed up in New York Dist center. WOW.... It has now been sitting in Charleston WV dist center since Friday......arriving and departing gaily but not really going the last 100 miles to my house. Kinda SOP....sitting for a week is common now with USPS. But I get a e-mail from Squadron Hobbies today......They will no longer use USPS for ANYTHING. Per a memo on their site USPS is having major system problems at hubs......so they just sit on packages for a week......some have been sitting 2 weeks. Total failure that if they bank I worked for did this, computer outage for more than 3 hours, we'd be shutdown and taken over. FYI -
My build of AMT L'il Yeller is up.....with a small twist. Thanks

This will happen more and more often. They are discovering that these EV batteries are subject to damage just riding around in their vehicles. Bumps and under body damage can cause a 'run away cell' ' that will in the end catch fire. When my brother in law bought a VOLT I told him never park inside. He laughed and then a few weeks later a BIG house burned to the ground near him in Charlotte when their VP:T caught fire. The VOLT lived outside after that. Hope all were OK

VERY COOL!!!! We bought a 84 Mercury Topaz 4 door. NOT a great car. Trans went out at 20K niles. The 2 door Fords were pretty rare although a co-worker of my wifes had a 2 door manual trans car. Kinda like to have it!!

Days of Thunder Sequel Maybe
Dave Van replied to Leo64's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Being involved in NASCAR from 1984 to 1999......I had hopes for the film. But DoT turned out to be the worst NASCAR based film. 'Last American Hero' was a great film. Talladega Nights' was a comedy and more accurate than DoT. So plez....no sequel for DoT. I did love the cars!!!
