  1. Roanoke VA had the old MPC trikes, mixer, miller trailer and TWO Star Trek shuttles.......the shuttles came home with me....and a Taco Trike. I has 10% too so a deal!
  2. The Monogram 83-85 Bird is 100% correct as is!!!!! Problem is it is a model of a protorype TB built by Banjo Matthews for the movie 'Stroker Ace'. This is the deal......told to me by Bob Johnson himself. Ford wanted a kit of the 83 Bird available for it's debut in the Daytona 500 AND to be the Star Car in the film. So some drawings and a few stampings were sent to Banjo along with Bob to make drawings for the kit. As we all the the real race car was different than the kit. A decent model can be made from it.....not 1005 correct. For me I add a tri-angle of sheet stock to the rear of the wheel opening. Remove the rubber rub strip on the door. Headlight doors need fixed but I never do. My version.....Hope you continue on yours!
  3. They should have done the 2025 Camaro kit!!!! ...........Oh wait....never mind......😁
  4. Salvino's does things different than many from what I can tell. I have no inside info but I bet they pay up front and are firm about the tooling being exported when finished. Stuff cloned in China with production there is MUCH cheaper. When I was doing a lot of work with RC2 and Model King we had whole bodies cloned and no one thought twice as the tooling was cheap. The tooling and production was bid as one.......
  5. I had friends at RM at the time.....All I ever got was 'tooling became unusable.....
  6. The issue with TJ, Dragon and Rommel's is they were cloned in China. Tooling made in China STAYS in China. Not saying it will never happen......just most likely not. There is a book 'China: the 100 year marathon' that talks about this stuff. Bottom line is if you try and get your tooling out of China it gets lost or damaged beyond use. LOTS of stories out there about this. Thx
  7. PS: Since Atlantis got Red Baron.....wonder if they got the 1/12 version too.......I'd take one!
  8. Revell Monogram burned the bridge to Tom Daniels so they may as well sell all the TD tooling to Atlantis. Anyone up for a Mean Maverick kit??
  9. A single regular kit sent from NJ to WV. Sent to Indianapolis IN where it has 'ARRIVED' and 'DEPARTED' every day for four days now and still sits there today. Agreed a First world issue. Who thinks that 'good logistics' Is to ship a box from NJ to Indiana, to sit, and then travel again the same distance in the opposite direction? Just which Monkey is in charge? FYI the Postmaster of the USPS resigned last week after notified DOGE was coming. Telling
  10. A LOT of work, very well done!!
  11. Nice detail, clean work!
  12. They had to be driven in manual mode to get any power. I enjoyed the drive as if I needed HP I pulled the Mustang out.
  13. Not my cup of tea.....but to each his own!!!!! I DO love SMART cars....owned two at one time. Fun cars but they cost the same to fix as a Mercedes Benz as most parts are sourced from MB. Car was nice but grandkids came along and hard to have a 2 seater with babies.... Like to find one..... Our two on a trip
  14. Not a lot of Logic at Ollie's overall!!!!
  15. None of the Ollie's carry kits all the time. Just like they don't always have the brand of pretzels I like. They are a close out chain. SIDE NOTE: the Sci Fi guys are seeing Star Trek kits showing up. The STOS Shuttle is one that has been seen I want.
  16. WOW!!!
  17. 2/22/25 Ollie's Lewisburg WV. Restock on Miller 40ft van and these two.
  18. Great lookin.......but I'll have to just look. Sad as i had a 70 and love them. Thx
  19. I have not sold on ebay for 10 years. I did a lot of sales at one time. Now I see why. ebay offered me $15 if I'd sell one item. Listed a model kit OOP. It sold for $40. My final return after fees etc??Less than $30.....Now I recall why I stopped.
  20. Funny....this truck was found in a creek in ND. About 80% complete, bullet holes and every panel dented. But it shows what can be done......ALL the work was done by my buddy and his Dad, a true Hudson expert.
  21. On the 3rd floor is my buddy's 34 Hudson Essex Terraplane pick up. It has been there a year now and Peterson just asked for a year longer. The truck won 'World's most beautiful pick up' about 10 years ago. I have yet to see it at Peterson as I am 3000 miles away! On the left at home.
  22. A twist on an old favorite. I will add I have had a few scammers use my name, making it seem real. But as stated...never click links. Go direct and check yourself. Then flag e-mail as a scammer so the mail service and look into it. thx
  23. I was in the hobby biz for 30+ years in retail and manufacturing. I will be the first to say Revell has been doing the best as far as holding the line price wise. The reissues are better priced than new kits.....that's fair. R2 has had the biggest cost increase and at times on kits unchanged since the 1970's!! Galaixe and AM (I worked for AM) were very different animals. Both had to start from scratch and had no vault of tooling to help offset new kits....so prices were higher. I still maintain it was easier to beg Mom for that $1 than come up with $50 today!!! Just sayin!!!
