  1. Nice!! I cut what was left of our headliner out. It had shrunken to where it was 2-3 inches shy on all sides.....how did it happen???
  2. It's NOT a Mustang problem. You can replace Mustang with Charger, Challenger or Camaro. The Mustang is targeted because there are so many of them, so cheap to upgrade and easy to own by idiots. I've owned a Mustang since 1975. My son has a 2016 Roush with 700 HP at wheels. We don't do dumb stuff on public roads. He does enter burnout contests at car shows at organized events off street. It all boils down oo driver/owner. Thanks
  3. WOW...nice work! I owned two real Aerostars........decent vehicles if maintained. Thx
  4. I may hsve found it's remains........Under the driver seat was bits of white paper....none big enough to say what it was. Everything else intact....I think that is what was left. Thanks
  5. Gone as far as I can cleaning and interior........so I started on the engine. Removed spark plugs and feed engine with Marvel oil mixed woth some Lucas. It sat over night and I attempted to spin it after sitting since 1985. She spun VERY well w/o a gallop or noise. Put the plugs back in and cranked her with some ether. She started and ran for 5 seconds. Some gas in the carb and ran longer. But found fuel pump was not pumping so I am doing the VGG treatment to see if I can bring her back. Really happy how good everything is I am finding. Thanks for looking.
  6. Very nice work. I have two of the kits I got from Borax with box tops......the good old days!
  7. When I was working with Accurate Miniatures we looked at Jo-Han tooling that was in storage. NONE of it was complete and/or usable. While working with Moebius we looked at some other Jo-Han tooling. Same thing. ADD to it that just fixing these old tools left you with a mold MOST injection companies could not run or maintain. Atomic/Jo-Han is looking into many methods to bring model items to market. IMHO it is a positive move for the hobby and where it leads is yet to be seen. thanks
  8. Very nice work on a kit often ignored.
  9. OK.... IF....IF you have read all the posts in this thread you will find in the first post by Mr Boyd about ownership statement for the Jo-Han model car brand. Three people are named as the new owners. Then during Steve Magnate video he states 'Okey Spalding, owner of Jo-Han Models'........ BOTH can not be true at the same time. So I am not stirring up dram or useless BS. Trying to inform that if this topic is or interest you can search just a little and learn what is going on. One of the new owners, Jack Higgins, is a personal friend so I am not going to TELL people some info I know behind the curtain. Ask Tim Boyd, Steve Goldman etc if they sometimes have info they can't post but might be out there if you look around. Sorry if I confused any of you. Thanks
  10. I'd like to 'tell all' but I don't have lawyer money. If you want you can dig around on the net and find most of the drama surrounding Jo-Han right now.
  11. I like Steve but has some info incorrect ..........I'll leave it there................
  12. Here is Ron's Granada...it was yellow. I may need to do this one now we have a body!!! Thanks
  13. I really like this project! A Granada race car is pretty rare......are you building someone or freelance?? In 1978 I bought a new Ford Fairmont from Young Ford in Charlotte, NC. My salesman was Ron Granna a retired NASCAR drive.....who by chance drove a Granada in Sportsman class.....what is now Xfinity. Thanks
  14. Great work!! Looks like the big one exactly!! I did a 1/25 w/o body mods. I am bias as I built the 1/12 kit when it was new!! One of my all time favorite kits!!
  15. Revell did a pop top camper, ambulance and the regular window. All easy to do without major tool changes. Doubt they will cut a new body but you never know today. If a HIT TV show has a crew cab....maybe!
  16. Last time I applied for a job was around 1982 so if they found my resume it was in a old desk!!! I ignore all media NOT coming from my contact list. Thx
  17. Might say what year...........they did two 85-6 and 88-9. 1986 version
  18. I started one of these as soon as the flat nose kit came out. REALLY messed up the paint and put it in a box. CONGRATS on a great build! Lone the show and love movie TV cars! I did finish Walt's 300 and the 72 Thunderbird of Pete's.
  19. I can see you are running out of space to store ZZR kits....I have room available FYI............ Nice set up BTW Just reworked my space...
