Bill Elliott’s 1988 Ford Thunderbird
Dave Van replied to iSewen's topic in Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
VERY clean work!!! I have that one to do for my 'Project '88' where I am building the first 20 cars in points that year.....a way to go! -
Well done.....I like all those 29-36 Fords Monogram did/
-
Atlantis put out that catalog late last year IIRC. They bought all tooling that was in storage in ILL that was then owned by Revell Monogram.

Is the MSRP really $115?

You did like me.....hoping that we were getting a series of 1/24 doi kits that would work in the scale world. A number of items are very usable but overall a few issues.
-
When I saw this series at HL and that they were 1/24 I picked one up. The Music store. I found it a bit chunky scale wise. I may send mine to my grand daughter. Not bad...just not fine scale.

I live near a US Dark Zone around the GBT telescope. The area around Green Bank WV has no cell service or towers. You can not have a microwave or Wi-Fi in your home. There are two detector trucks that roam around hunting for violators. Every year or so a major media outlet comes here to do a story on the crazy locals the believe that cell phones are reading their minds or Wi-Fi is how the government hears what we say in our homes or that microwaves are eating space and time. Dumb hillbillys! My issue is that 75% of the residents are people from places like NYC or LA or other big city. They move to Green Bank to escape the danger. Then we as a whole are shown as dumb rural people....when in reality it's educated city folks! My son runs one of the only major chain stores in the county. These city folk come in his store and ask if he can turn off the florescent lights while they shop.....almost as dangerous as cell towers!!! Bottom line is there are folks with VERY different beliefs everywhere but somehow the story is often tilted to stupid rural folks. I chose to live in the most rural county in the eastern UAS after an early retirement with a big bank in a bigger city. Best move ever.

Windmills do kill a huge number of birds. 2019 there were 150,000 official kills by windmills and living between two different windmill farms I know the total is much much more. The local windmill servicer is not required to report kills even when it's a Bald Eagle. The solar panel story is tilted toward a few citizens and not the official town's council logic. Just another story to make rural people look like rubes.

Agreed........but things are happening I'd bet the farm on!!!

The 'Smart' phone has made many under the age of 35 dumb as a box of hair. A instant encyclopedia in your pocket means you can survive in this world and know nothing in your brain. I watch, with some fear, the TV shows where they ask when was WWII or something along those lines and people are so far off........

And like the Nova wagon, OLDS and a huge number of kits Model King restored with RC2 & R2 it can be done if DEMAND was there. You did note I posted Firebug box......so yes, I did know what happened to ZZR. Thx

Fund your Paypal with a credit card. Just file a complaint with CC company. Per Federal law that must deal with the customer and freeze the amount on your account. -
Both of those items are being driven by Dave Burket Model King. Thats why Revell did one a few years back (plow).

Had to pick up some auto parts today and drove the 2 hors....so went by Hobby Lobby while there. The lady was just finished marking the Testors spray cans to $1.57. I got first pick. Not a big Testors fan any longer but at this price I bought 15 cans for about $22.....good deal. Mike: I was in the Mooresville store in 2019, last visit to Charlotte area (Roval Race) it IS heavy RC....but I know a lot of NASCAR drivers, crew are into the R/C thing.....and Go Karts! Never been blown away by HTUSA.....we were asked to join way back when the franchise first started. We saw no benefits.
-
Side note: Hard to believe Charlotte still without a regular hobby shop. Back in the day I could spend a day off visiting the many shops from Monroe to Gastonia. Modelers Hobby, Science Hobby, Action/Whistle Stop and even our shop Deb's Model Car......how does a city that big with that much $$$$ not have a shop?

1/25 AMT 1964 Olds Cutlass F85 Convertible

My understanding this is a modified tool with SOME new parts. I thought the body was 'corrected' along with new tool bumpers and grille. Maybe I'm mixed up. -
