Jada needs to invest in a ruler.....they are missing sales with their box scale.

Super clean work!
-
Well done!!! I like it!

Chassis is the same Salvinos chassis that was under OLDS and Monte Carlo. Leaf's out back, bars in front. Which engine is correct depends on the year you are building. I do not have exact dates but NASCAR went from HEMI, big block to 366 or smaller during the use of that body Charger.

I think I know where they got the idea for the 30 box........ A good idea for a '2 kits in one box' maybe?? -

A few good places in Lexington where my son lives. A side note. I never spent much time in KY but since my son moved there I have found it a very nice place.......kinda a flat West Virginia!!!!! We are doing a car show next weekend in Somerset KY. -
Tamiya 1:12 Brabham BT44b

I went back and looked over the photos again....so much great work!!!! Also trigger the thought that at a glance you could tell one car from another. No mistaking a Brabham for a Lotus!!!!! Today I can't spot one from anohter......gone are the days of individuality. -
#208 is a good issue. CONGRATS on the hard work by all involved. ONE thing I did not think was great was some content from the MCM website. I can see why some of this was used......but as more original content becomes available I hope new issues are all new. Again thanks to the folks that provide us this magazine......I still like holding paper in my hands and spending time reading.

Being a model railroader too.....I build a number of structures. Your diner is a great build on such a large scale. As buildings get larger scale it can become more difficult! Here is a modified O scale 1/48 scale diner on my layout. Thanks

I got invited to a car show at the Greenbrier.....so looks like will miss this one.......

VERY nice work!!!! I built that when it first came out....box stock. It and the 6 wheeler are my favorite F1 racers.....great era! -
Nice work.....just odd enough!
-
WOW...that is a TON of work!!! Give us a few details how you built thing. Nice work.

I do not have one in hand....but A pillars look like they need work.

I ask a buddy that works for a team about a Ford 9"......he said they will be REAL cheap........because most are bent a few degrees for better tire tracking. OK....so how about the center members??? You'd need to change all the gears out for street.....almost the cost off one from a street supplier!! I'd buy a roller if it was a car/team I like and had a complete body. I saw one go on FB the other week for $2500.......no gears, driveline, gauges etc.....but good chassis and body.

Thanks for the build link. Somehow I missed the original build. I am building the Matador from Adam-12 that Pete drove as his private car. Maybe some day I will get around to building my 1/1 Matador.....need to finish restore first!!!
-
Very well done!!!!! I am bias.....I did the decal artwork for the kit......and Ms Flock was a neighbor of mine back when I lived in NC. A great Lady.
-
Your work looks great. I worked on the restoration of that kit and while simple I like the kit. My only suggestion, and it may be to late, is to remove the inner front fenders. They'd not be used on most Cup cars. Here is a sample of how I did it on A mARLIN mONTE.....
-
Add to it the 2021 Cup chassis is not legal for any other national series.........LOTS of scrap coming!!
-
Being in the sport in some way or shape since the early 80's I am well aware of the current regs and the required RFID Chips mandated. BUT today you can still make changes to a chassis and as long as they pass inspection they are OK. HAAS had a chassis mod that made them so good until all others found out. In 2022 there will be NO MODS at all. SPEC racing only. Almost ZERO parts will transfer from 2021 to 2022 car. This all done as a cost saver......right.

Way back when Atlantis first bought all this tooling I sent Pete a note that if he had the tooling for Unreal it would be a good one to run as it did not have vinyl tires, something he could not do at the time. I'd like to see both a chrome and a none chrome version.......I too plan on stripping one!

Petty had many small changes to that STP scheme from 72 to 1977 when the use of the 1974 body ended. Some changes very small. .
