  1. I have most of the Zoowies.......cool little cars.....very unrealistic!
  2. I saw the Mini Art kits....but lots more $$$$ than these. This was just a simple quick project while building some 1/35 military subjects. Thanks
  3. Agree with all above. The kit ranges from great to fair. The back cab window snaps in place between the opening like the real truck! Then there are parts that just miss it. Over all a decent kit we will never get in 1/25.
  4. Even has the flat hood rather than MACH1 hood....
  5. While building and looking for 1/35 military models I found this model by ZVEZDA of a GAZ AAA, a Ford Model A truck built in Russia under license from Ford. Looking at the kit it was so close to a Ford Model A that I bought it with plans to make it into a Ford A. More details later......but here she is...not cleaned up or small details finished....but I wanted to see what needs finish. Thanks
  6. Shipping is killing a lot of small biz. Wonder why a model I bought from the Ukraine, large military kit, delivered in 7 days with signature confirmation cost the seller the equivalent of $11USD??? I can't send a standard car kit to my buddy for that!! Says something about the MASSIVE cost that the USPS must pay for things that have nothing to so with moving mail.
  7. My son said the WM in Lexington KY got a new AMT/R2 pallet shipper in today. LOTS of good stuff....OK prices. Things like the new Nova Wagon, snow plow, tow Pete....LOTS of stuff.
  8. Yes....and Meat Loaf!! The other vehicle was a 82-3 Camaro.....want to build it too.
  9. This build was inspired by the movie Black Dog......a GREAT B movie. DO NOT bother telling me I used the wrong Pete to build my model. When I was looking at what I needed to build a correct Black Dog Pete and how expensive it would be.....I went with the under $20 Revell Monogram kit....which is a decent kit BTW. Most people will never know!!! I made all the decals used. Tags too. The kit was built box stock other than the 'wings' added to the sleeper and the treadplate that a big fight scene, at speed, takes place.....I had to add them. Otherwise Tamiya paints and decals I made myself. I want to build the raggy trailer to go with it.....someday!! Thanks
  10. Seems Rally car models are doing fine.
  11. Growing up in So Cal 1960 to DEC 31 1969 was a great era. Living between Disney and Knott's was a kid's dream. My So Cal buddy who I visit as often as I can (not 2020!!) talk about how lucky we were to live in So Cal, have parents that were not wealthy by any means, but able to takes us to so many of the good things So Cal had. It's sad things have changed so much......but change is the only constant. Driveway racing about 1965. NOTE my shirt!
  12. The Grand Am body is most likely ready to run with ZERO repair of clean up. I bought one of the originals....may get a new one.
  13. I have been going to Disneyland since around 1960. I can remember Dad dropping me and my brother off at the front gate and with pockets filled with tickets and $10 we could stay until 10 PM. It ain't what it was.....and Walt would not like the direction. But they still sell out almost daily so I must be the rummy. Dad and I in 1961
  14. Matchbox, first thing I collected, has been doing some cool stuff. The cab forward is neat!
  15. Unreal Roller will arrive at dealers this week. Got notice from my seller they were on the way.....EARLY!!!! Thanks Atlantis!
  16. Any store CAN carry them. But many local stores do not know about them or do not want to get product their wholesalers do not carry.
  17. If I were Atlantis I doubt I list every tool I acquired. Just like they sold a number of tools to Salvinos they may be trying to sell others that do not fit their business. Round2 has 'discovered' tooling that they did not know they had.....rumor has it there is still some in storage.....so who knows what may turn up.
  18. If the tooling was in storage in ILL it went to Atlantis. This one never got sent to China!
  19. That kinda makes it better!!!! the smaller scale is a tougher build....plus I have a few Wave kits....good but not Tamiya!
  20. A nice clean build. Those Tamiya 1/20 kits come out well.
  21. I use Tamiya spray cans to paint. I then apply weathering with paint and Tamiya weathering powders. I also use Taamiya panel line wash. Final step is Testors clear flat to seal. If your washes are water based you can apply at any time....but best before final clear.
  22. Don't get what you ordered.....send it back.
  23. The Sprint cars never sold up to expectations. IIRC they were the product of Jay Adams while product manager. He liked Sprit cars and got them pushed through. I can see Revell doing NASCAR kits before a new tool Sprint car kit and I do not see them doing the 2022 Cup Car kit. Add that the money guys are now in Germany and you see how hard it would be to get a Sprint car kit, new or updated. If Ed Sexton is still working for/with Revell(Germany) he'd be the one to talk to.
  24. On 7/18/2021 at 12:22 AM, Dave Van said: Very nice work!!! Brabham was a favorite. I have a high end 1/20 BT-44 I need to build. Thanks Dave....would luv to see that one done...who's kit is it. The kit is a multi media BT$$B by ACE Models #20030. After I dug it out I want to build!!!!
