  1. Number position is such a small part of the 2022 changes!!!! The 2022 Cup cars are about 99.9 % a SCCA Trans Am car. IRS, transmission in rear, Composite body, big alloy wheels with single lug, etc etc. Come on guys....it's a Trans Am car!!! I LOVE Trans Am......but Cup ain't T/A!! NASCAR is searching for a formula that will get the sport back to 50% of the fan base from the 1980=90's era. I am not sure this is the fix....but I ain't in charge. FYI SCCA Trans Am had ONE race on TV this year......like I said I like the series....but most of America must not.
  2. With transponders we do not need numbers on cars at all. As I said....tradition is the only reason to have them. I have been in the biz of NASCAR hobby items. We held licenses for some big names. When we made an item we would run thousands of each. Today the Woods Bros said if they can not get more than the 100 orders for a die cast it will not be made. So have all the 'changes' most in favor of sponsors and NASCAR itself expanded the sport??? So losing one more tradition will help it?
  3. NASCAR has been playing around with number placement for a while......at least they did not go with the number behind the rear wheel arch!!!! Not a fan....I'm old and like tradition....but it's entertainment first.....tradition last!!!
  4. I'd own it!!!!!! Before Dad passed I remind him that I told him to buy a Superbird when Terry's Plymouth in Charlotte had them at blow out price in 1971!!!
  5. To make a really good contest model....take the PL Charger, Salvinos and AMT 71 kit. Salcinos chassis is not that good. HUGE transmission tunnel and wrong transmission. Mix and match the best parts from the rest. The Slvinos BODY is much better than PL....it almost looks like they cloned the old MPC body.
  6. One of the best model kits, any brand, Tamiya Alfa as far as detail and fit, IMHO Only.....
  7. Any attention is better than none!!!! Steve is building like 80% of model builders do maybe minus stealing parts from high dollar kits!!!! The fact he calls some 'folk art' is valid way of thinking about his style.
  8. My store in WV got the shipper this week but by Thursday it was picked over pretty good. I did get the 32 Ford in 1/32 for$15....not bad.
  9. I use Duplicolor #1699 sealer as a primer. Then you can use anything over it.
  10. When I found Tamiya TS spray cans back early 1990's I have used my air bush very very little.....most times for weathering! Add my food dehydrator and it has made building fun.
  11. Very well done. I like that car/kit. I even bought a 1/12 version in resin.....someday!
  12. If you like Ed.....find and watch his episodes on Sara Silverman show. He played a NAZI and something like that will never happen on a comedy show ever again. RIP ED
  13. N & HO scales have some many cool structures and vehicles.! It's to small for my big hands but you did great!
  14. Magazines are permitted to be held at EACH stop for 3-6 days. Multiply that by how many PO and sorting stops and it can be a while.
  15. AMT '89 Batman' kit VS Jada die cast....both 1/25??? Jada the smaller. Moebius Batmobile built from test shot for Moebius.
  16. WOW....I love the movie. You did really well. Any chance you'd sell a copy??
  17. That popped up in my feed........R2 said 'new kit dump'......I'll be watching.
  18. Well done! I like those kits. Wish they had continued the series......
  19. I like Pink & Andy Griffith.....so
  20. Thanks for showing the grille gap fix. I never figured that out. Who is going to build the limo version from Lemony Snickets movie????
  21. While working for Revell I asked about these kits. 'No tire mold' was the answer AND they were not sure which versions they did or did not still have. But they were in ILL at one time. So let Pete know......maybe he will look into it.
