  1. Yum.....Pup-n-Taco....... I'm old enough to remember when I think on WED they had a mix and match 10 for $1 dog or taco special. We had one in La Palma......drive through A frame building!
  2. Pete/Atlantis puts his money where his mouth is......
  3. Atlantis needs to land the FORD license first.....
  4. As a kid...ignorance is bliss. I built this kit and the Maverick, which today I can see are poorly done......but now I look back at how much fun I had building these 'bad' kits.
  5. Dropped by a Ollie's and the only thing was a restock on Revell Star Wars models.
  6. And thus a Funny Car!
  7. I bet Kalmbach tried selling off SAE....but a tough market. I gave a heads up that SAE was closing to a publisher that is hobby magazine only.....they said thanks....but after a month or two they posted no deal could be made.
  8. Kalmbach publishing owns SAE. They are keeping the title alive just not publishing a paper magazine any longer. Like GM still owns the 'Pontiac' brand, try and produce a Pontiac model kit without a license from GM......lawyers will magically appear at your door. Same deal with SAE Kalmbach
  9. Pretty sure the copyright is still in place. Add to it the files on the disk will not open w/o the disk and I ain't figured out how to export the files.
  10. Citri-strip any hardware or big box store
  11. Website is odd....no info at all other than 'contact'......
  12. Be watching!
  13. I use a lot of Testors clear flat spray. I tried to order a case of it. After 2 months dealer canceled order as N/A........
  14. yep,,,,make it easy and cheap and you will not have to worry about copying.....
  15. IMHO ONLY...the proprietary software used to 'read' the magazine is very clumsy and not what I think of as user friendly. I am BIAS as I was a computer system analyst for 25+ years so I may be more critical than others. thx
  16. HL had all the vintage NASCAR kits AMT did too. I got a Brad K Ford at blow out for $5.
  17. I bought it for the $40 not long ago. I lost many issues in hurricane Danny when our house flooded. It's ok.......worth $40but very happy I did not pay more.
  18. Atlantis is just running what REVELL tooled. I'll get one out of nostalgia and support Atlantis.
  19. listed AS 1/25.......
  20. Hope to attend....was there in 2019?? It runs together today.....
  21. In high school my now wife worked at McD's. Mid 70's I could still get that meal for less than $1......
  22. Number position is such a small part of the 2022 changes!!!! The 2022 Cup cars are about 99.9 % a SCCA Trans Am car. IRS, transmission in rear, Composite body, big alloy wheels with single lug, etc etc. Come on guys....it's a Trans Am car!!! I LOVE Trans Am......but Cup ain't T/A!! NASCAR is searching for a formula that will get the sport back to 50% of the fan base from the 1980=90's era. I am not sure this is the fix....but I ain't in charge. FYI SCCA Trans Am had ONE race on TV this year......like I said I like the series....but most of America must not.
  23. With transponders we do not need numbers on cars at all. As I said....tradition is the only reason to have them. I have been in the biz of NASCAR hobby items. We held licenses for some big names. When we made an item we would run thousands of each. Today the Woods Bros said if they can not get more than the 100 orders for a die cast it will not be made. So have all the 'changes' most in favor of sponsors and NASCAR itself expanded the sport??? So losing one more tradition will help it?
  24. NASCAR has been playing around with number placement for a while......at least they did not go with the number behind the rear wheel arch!!!! Not a fan....I'm old and like tradition....but it's entertainment first.....tradition last!!!
