  1. I see in person shows growing.........IMHO Only
  2. To deduct any 'cost' from the 1099K total you will need to be a 'INC', LLC or sole proprietor with Tax ID and license required by local. I'll not go into the logic behind all this as it would just get thread deleted. Thx
  3. With the new 2022 IRS 1099K rules....I do not see myself ever selling on ebay again.
  4. Well done build.....getting the wheels right too!!!!! I have gathered stuff to build my 82 Z-28......my project has lasted longer than yours!!!! LOL
  5. Flex-i-file glue is my favorite since we lost PRO-WELD. Seems to be the same stuff. MEK seems different to me......maybe just in my mind.....but I'll keep using the Flex-i-file while I can get it.
  6. That car fits in well with the R2 Star Trek line too..........kinda a two for one deal if they'd tool it!!!!!!
  7. Excellent look!!!!
  8. EYE Vo as Tommy told Dad once...........
  9. In the rain the Fiesta beat the VW Rabbits every time!!!! The Rabbits had us on HP but in the rain they could not get it down......and they tended to go through turns on 3 wheels. Sorry to get so OT.....but what a fun era.
  10. Cool Bugeye!!!! We ran SCCA SSC to CP in the 1980's. Won a few races and made run offs a few times. Cool model. No kits of any of the cars we ran or I'd do same! Not so great results from a race in Atlanta!!!!
  11. FYI to all who use ebay, paypal or Venmo. If you sell and the total sales, via any of the above, is a total of $600 or more A YEAR, you will be reported to the IRS and need to file a 1099K and report the income. Even if you took a HUGE loss on the item it will be called income.
  12. I am SURE you gave him the best run possible!!
  13. Interesting story of the super rich. Not really a story of a model fabricator but a story of a subcontractor of a project. I bet you can buy a real car for close to what the model cost in the end.
  14. I think it's a AMT kit..........?
  15. My father in law bought me the then Bowser PRR T-1 HO kit back before any were available mass market. It's a decent if simple kit....pulll a ton!!! My O3r PRR S-1.....thanks!
  16. I have been following the 'T1 Trust' from the start. My late father in law was a PRR man. His brother was in charge of the PRR S-1 (look that monster up!) While it is great that these guys are building a locomotive I LOVE.....they can not build it exactly like the original. It will be a tribute loco as they say. We no longer have the ability to cast the frame for this loco, they are welding it up from stock. It's one of those 'technology lost' things. The real loco was a bit of a hot rod too. Designed to haul 15 passenger cars at 100mph without working hard.....it took veteran engineers to handle the T-1. It was easy to spin the drivers! I am the owner of 4 PRR T-1 locos....2 each in O3r and HO scale.
  17. I had the Cox Cheetah mint. I pulled it from a box one day and it shattered into about 10 parts....not salvageable. Beware!!!
  18. Modelhaus made a VERY nice kit. That does little good today....but if you see it come up for sale.....get it!
  19. Jimmy was a neighbor of my wifes aunt back in the day. Jimmy is a great guy. The 'Smut' comes from someone finding a Playboy magazine in his race car once........the name stuck for better or worse!
  20. I did work for a BIG NASCAR promotor back in the day. I got to know him pretty well. He told me if the show was getting really bad NASCAR would come on the radio and sk their track guys to find 'Marcel'. 'Marcel' was Marcel Bebris.......IE we need a caution to mix things up. F1 is no different.....just add Wine and Cheese.
  21. Tamiya Peral clear over Tamiya Pure White....
