  1. We live in NE Indiana also . N o t proud to be Hoosiers due to a Legal (apparently) Real Estate Fraud . Through a Bank Loan no less . Not fiction , as a matter of fact . We are the victims . Yet , we chose to live here in the beginning . That was prior to the Fraud buying into the Home . Now we are stuck here . Alas , life goes on . We must forgive as our Lord does . Thanx ..
  2. The F-70 or G-70 series tires were made in 1972 . A performance tire sold on Chargers . I think FR-whatevers started around this time . 60 Series weren't made for the Public Consumption until 1973 . BFG introduced these for sale . I had to wait 3 more months for the F-60 Tires for my '70 Javelin I just bought with bad Tires . I ended up with FR-78 Radials as a consequence . The PR aspect was not determined and implemented until the '80's avoid different tire sizes were two different (or more) names . After the advent of Radial Tires this was made the Standard . These cleared the muddied waters identifying specific applications to the Passenger Car Tire Industry Worldwide . I am in on F-70's (Redlines) BTW Chief Joseph . I have a stack of Muscle Cars to build waiting for thr right tires . I hope this clears up the Muddied Waters . Thanx ..
  3. The only path to one today is to acquire the 1/24 monogram Sedan as a start for a long scratchbuild . Long term project to begin with . Thanx ..
  4. One quick method I found is to rub out the flaw . Wetsand to featheredge the area . If the color coat is not damaged , touch up with a Brush (!) with Future Clear ! Try it , you'll like it . The voice of experience speaking here . I have even removed decals (with an overlay of Scotch Tape) with this same procedure . Thanx ..
  5. I see it Harry . Viva la No difference ! I still dunno ?? lol .. Thanx ..
  6. AS evil and wicked George may be , he still is a hero to me . As far as being a Businessman I am just as evil . I was only loyal to my Employers until I found what I really wanted or I could find more money / Benefits for my talents elsewhere . My parents , like I'm sure George's , trained me in the advantages or Living /Sleeping Indoors . Those regular meals were just the ticket too ! He paid others to do work he was responsible for plus deliver : right and on time . I never heard or read of any Competitor or other Shop , that he paid for the work to get done , being totally unhappy . He and Sam could not do all of the work themselves they attracted . This is called "Farming Out " . I am unaware of any complaints about out the money the others were paid . Neither about the Quality or Quantity of said cash . Some of the Smaller Shops kept the doors open with Barris's Cash Flow . Barris work had a good reputation and kept this ! Deservedly so ; IMHO . I hope this is not taken as a rant . The truth sometimes hurts . Sorry if figuring out what the Movie / TV Show people want to put on film and Fabricating workable , usable moving "props" is wrong ????? They sure as heck don't know ! When they see it , it sure is right . Just watch Las Vegas , a new Show this Fall . It occures in 1 9 6 0 . The good guy drives a '69 Dodge pickup . Constantly I view 62 & '63 Police cars . Taxies , circa '66 & '67 MoPar Four Doors . Paid professional Technical Directors do this ?? Thanx ..
  7. I'm not sure this is a restoration . I followed all the Hurst Cars as the awesome work Linda Vaughn . Miss Hurst U.S.A. is still very attractive . Not as much as my wife is to me . This is a site of not so much Stock or One of's any how . Specialty vehicles , you betcha ! easy to make this one for sure . Thanx ..
  8. My translator now is missing . That figures , just when I need it . Gazunetite , your English is way better than my German (Duecsth) .I I I think I am wrong with my spelling . I know you understand what I'm saying as I do you . I personally thank you for sharing this . I am greatfull you did this . This is what I've been trying to perfect and failing at . Here is my solution Heiko . When I have the funds , I am making a purchase in Euros . Thanx ..
  9. I without a doubt state this is real . Good job Harry, on this one . Thanx ..
  10. This is a repeat of what I see here much too often . Comments about poor service . Followed by angry responses by the offended party . Cussing , redacted or not , is inappropriate . We all understand issues beyond your control . Don't respond when you are recovering and angry about the situation you are in . It only reflects badly on yourself . I'm sure this is the opposite of what you wanted to state and accomplish . Plus this is not the result you wanted . Sure this is the first time you got to respond . I applaud your efforts to communicate reasons for delay . The result was less achieved in this case . I am not taking sides . My intent is to state the obvious IMHO . Based on my Hospitalizations and recoveries , I know what you are dealing with an how /why you reacted as you did . Again IMHO ; "place brain in gear before engaging mouth" . Thanx ..
  11. Yes , this is who I am talking about . At 4:34 A.M. I sometimes forget details . Oh heck ! I forget everything all day and all night . Thank you for filling the many blanks DuogP . Thanx ..
  12. I bought and received both versions of Sean's Lincoln 460 - Mercury 429 - and Ford 429 & 460 V/8's . One version is 429 Ram Air , the second is sedate for Passenger Cars . Looks like injected molded . I reccomend highly for needs of this Engine . Thanx ..
  13. I just received two of Sean's Mills . Only problem the Manual Transmission is attached to the one piece block casting . The slushbox was the only way these Crusiers were equipped in the day . Easy fix . I have enjoyed this kit since since 1970 . Good to see it back . Thanx
  14. Yes on this build and the hood up for "fresh" Air . My friend was ordered to close it up ! "Sorry - Sprung Hood !" I think allot of this was going around those days . He was allowed to compete . This build is quite excellent . My first time here . The title attracted me . I built both The Plymouth Fury & Dodge Dart 440 of this year as powered as this . Factory Stock is my Genre and so is my pair in Black over Red . Did you have a use for the original Chassis . If not , want to trade it off , please PM me ? "Where's the keys ?" Thanx ..
  15. I dunno ? You got me again Harry . Thanx ..
  16. R&D Unique went under a couple of years ago . I did manage to buy one of his his last . There was a note in the box stating this . That's how I know . A '50 Pontiac Sedan ; RDU-2888 . I missed out on the Mini Exotics Cobra Coupe and '70 Shelby Mustang Ragtop . At missing Link , Kevin is in process of a '70 Javelin kit . Thanx ..
  17. A resin Caster in Florida offers a '73 Cutlass . A 4-dr. conversion ought be possible from this . I know he offers a '50's Dodge Pickup Truck as well . An article was featured in a Magazine long ago with the Dodge converted into a "Roach Coach" . Anyone help to fill in the blanks here please ? Thanx ..
  18. Typical Modelhaus White Walls are handled by an insert . Even the Red , Blue , White , and Gold Line Wide Oval Tires . Re ; Muscle Cars , '60's . That is until '69 - '70 when Raised white letters hit the scene . I recommend the Modelhaus for anything / everything . Thanx ..
  19. Sure , my thoughts are as follows . I do appreciate the After Market and all of the products . I (we) are on a Fixed Income . I cannot keep up with the new releases any longer . I have to be more selective . Nomenclature was among the first choices to go away . I do have a smattering of Photoetch . I now find myself trading off kits I will not get to in favor of what I cannot afford and want . I did not buy these for trading ever in my mind . Such be life . I just cannot support all niches of my Hobby as I used to . Thank you Uncle Sam for placing me here due to your Rules ! Apparently I needed to cheat ! Bitter and holding grudges ... Thanx ..
  20. Fill up these holes . Onward and upward . If not so good otherwise ; clean , paint , cover with burnt oil . The hole is from a wayward Valve Train part on a Trashed Mill . Kept for spare parts .. Every one casting has these learning curve rejects . Somewhere there is a tutorial for doing this process . It is a free upload online . Any one out there Help please ? Keep it up and keep asking . No such thing as "dumb question " . Thanx ..
  21. Yup , this is the one ! Thanx ..
  22. I am on Google . Not "chrome" as this feature , Chrome , is among the many features my 'puter states ; "cannot load , problem found ." Alas I see the pic clearly . It is silver with a level ride problem . Aurghhhh ! Thanx ..
  23. Oops ! The originals I have are the '57 Inrternational , I had a '55 & '57 Cameo . A friend had a '57-' '60 Ford Truck Promo . Another had a '60-65 Chevy Promo . All of these were one piece castings . I forgot the Dodges weren't done until the '72 MY by MPC . I apologize . Thanx for the correction ..
  24. The originals were one piece in the day . Copies would be also . Thanx ..
  25. I just like to comment on the tires as Jim did . In my pic , it looks like the right side tires are blurred as in Photo-shopped ? Roadkill possibly ? Other choice ; price sticker ? lol Thanx ..
