Too many Lawyers and Frivolous Lawsuits . It is Fact : in Japan the ratio is 1 Lawyer per 900 Citizens . The U.S.A. : 1 Lawyer per 35 People . If the numbers aren't quite correct , the ratio is as the ridiculousness of it . May I remind you how McDonalds came to warn all Coffee Drinkers on the Cup ; "Warning Contents Hot" . Thanx ..

Does anyone make these parts?
dimaxion replied to Custom Hearse's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Mdelhaus offers the front and rear bumper/grille/tailpanels to modify a '70 into a '71 . No other major (that would be obvious in 1/25 scale) changes otherwise made these two years . Minor Engine changes . One was the missing 429 in the Ford Lineup . The designers and engineers were way too busy working on near future government (deliberately not capitalized) Mandates . Thanx .. -
I am looking for at least (6) MC wire type wheels and tires . Preferably the tires in Resin . I need 4 for an Olds Curved Dash I am Scratch Building . Another two for a Dragster circa the early '60's . The Stereamliner from the AMT Double Dragster . I saw these posted here awhile back . Sent a PM to where these are available and did not get an answer . Ones Required parts are not quite the diameter of a Passenger Car Tire . I only want 1/25 Scale please .

Shawn Carprnter prevented from selling 50+ year old designs ? Counterproductive if this is true . Stopping model production of these is like shooting oneself in the ear with a 9 mm and expecting survival unscathed . Well they cannot sell 1:1's . Many would not purchase GM : "and would rather buy Jap than going back ." I am among the Millions believing this motto . I'll betcha Toyoto would not do this . Oh yeah , they are #1 aren't they . PM me if you want to know my reasons for statement . I hauled many G(em)M('s) Brand New to the Dealers . Thanx ..

Bare rally wheels ?
dimaxion replied to 57peppershaker's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
These wheels are to be found in the AMT/Ertl '70 Corvette ZR 1 kits . Try a plea in "parts wanted" in the Model Car Forums unless you want fleet quantities . I know someone casts these in resin also . A little help here ? Thanx .. -
Yes I did mistakenly reply to the BNL Thread . I do aplolgize and will try to remove my mistaken Post . I did get it confused with another caster I recently bought from . The parts for BNL are on the list to get . To answer the 390 question ; it is an FE Engine . The 351 is still a question mark for me . Cleveland or Windsor is like comparing a W block to a SBC . Are you saying as I've heard beford 265 SBC parts will exchange with (sic.-all SBC)as in the let's say the Gen III SBC . I've heard this many times as a Parts Counter Person . There are many Parts books to dispute this claim . Thanx ..

The '59 Ford Grille has been offered once by F&F decades ago before his passing . The '57 -'60 Ford Pickups are identified by the specific grilles . The '57 had the last year of dual headlights . The '58-'60's have quads . Minor shuffling of Power Train options set these years apart too . I believe Modelhaus offers a Resin '60 , Long Bed ('8 ft.) "commercial side" . For a Stepside , use the bed from a '56 Ford Revelle kit . You get the "Y" Block V/8 too . I just had to add this detail here . Lindbergh '53 Ford is a "Y" Block . Maybe , just maybe Ed Fluck Jr. , might have the '59 Grilles available . Contact him direct . He may say no . He is a great caster and he will answer you . It doesn't hurt . Ed can either say yes or no . You already have a no . Thanx ..

R&R Resin still pulling bodies?
dimaxion replied to JDS Racing's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Ray has health issues like everyone else our *amen* age . He is hard to get to know . Once you do he is quite knowledgeable about our Hobby and pre-'32 Fords . He has worked with me in days gone by with problems I had . He did fixes for my problems . I cannot go to shows and haven't been able since 2005 . I totally understand Ray not going either . He and Ruth are nice people .
Steve is the only and best way to buy R&R products . He will fix what is wrong . I believe he will tell you about any thing he sells up front when you ask . I know Steve warned me . I bought it and was able to fix / build the Car . Steve answers all Emails . You may have to wait until the weekend as he has a Full Time (Real) Employment . Ask about any Satisfaction coverage . I know there is a return policy . It may be for bad products ?
I just cannot say enough about the Good People in the Resin Casting Business . Thanx .. -

SC Miller - Resin '56 Lincoln Mark II?
dimaxion replied to Casey's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I have (5) of his catalogs . The newest is dated 2-20-94 . He lists many , many kits . Most are in 1/25 . The rest are stated what scale as listed in the Catalogs . Tucker , Edsel (all three years) , Henry J ('51&52) plus an Allstate , Studebakers (long list of those), Busses . Packards , Plymouths , Silver Streaks , Tailfins , Dale , Desoto , Port Hole Mobiles , Old Rockets , Ford , Mercury , Hudson , Willys , International Harvester , Kaiser , Rambler (including the '56 Wagon - Louis Lane Convertible), Dodge , Desoto , Chrysler , Lincoln ('51 Cosmopolitan , "53 Capri , "54 Capri , '56 Premiers , "'56 Continental , '58 Premier , '60 Continental MK5 , '79 Continental MK 5) , Nash and White are listed for sale . Quite a few "Design Studio" models . I just don't have the '59 Port Hole Mobile listed in the ones I have . I only acquired one . The '56 Studebaker Hawk . I wish I had more to fill voids in my strings . Yeah , good luck with that . I am willing to look up anything he made in these Catalogs . I may not have all of his . PM me please . Thanx .. . -
I bought a '49 Chevy Ragtop from Perry's Resins . I bought another one to make a 1950 too . I make strings BTW . The '49 & 50 share the same body . The '51 & '52 shared the same body . Same but different as most of the time in the day . Mostly rear fenders and front grille openings separates the two .. The '49 Grille is in this conversion . Contact Randy , perhaps he will cast one or have one left over . He hasn't sold/make just parts since he bought the Hobby Shop awhile ago . If you bought a '50 Grille , Craig , from Star Models ? He sells the '52 Conversion (grille & bumpers) for sure . I am going to check this out . Thank you Craig . Good luck with your conversion . Thanx ..

Removing laquer from Resin question
dimaxion replied to drodg's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I forgot about the Rubbermaid sealed containers . I cannot tell you how long as I tend to place the parts/bodies in the "Tanks" and forget about them . I've left some in there for up to 6 months . The only problem I have is Black . Especially that black from the early days of Model Paints . I've had some Ringo and Strombeckers as a problem . Thank you for more sources I was not aware of . Thanx .. -
I was wrong . Not BNL parts at all . His parts are on my want = ASAP when funds are available .. Thanx ..

Removing laquer from Resin question
dimaxion replied to drodg's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
In olden times I had this discussion with some casters (the originals attending the Toledo Shows) . Brake fluid - No ! Easy off - High Risk . Formula 409 - this is what was recommended and I use since then . If it works , don't fix it . Recently , Arleen's (found at Dollar Stores) , was praised . I tried it and I liked it . I now use both of these . On all type of plastics . Including the Pioneer Model Car Kits . The kits from Pryo , Ringo , Strombecker , Hawk , ect. . I still do a soak in Whestley's and wash with Ivory Dish Soap . This is 99.9 % pure . No moisturizers to soften hands . Thanx .. -
Cavalier Resins Mad Max ? Cavalier Resins : Cordillia ? Quatraporte ? Quadravalvorie ? Rolls Can'ardley ? Uetopia Turtletop ? Dymaxion (this one is where my screen name is from) ? Glashphoxx ? tie dye decals for tinwork
dimaxion replied to MoparMark's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Truly unique and a neat addition of high detail so prevalent in the day . I thank you , although I don't build anything other than Factory Stock . I am sorry , I cannot use this . But .. if someone pops in Resin a 1st. Gen Econline Ford Van .. I can replicate my Friends ; shall we say "Hippie Van" ... Thanx .. -
Let me see now . US car sales in the ........ Imports .... "Why can't US car makers give us those now when Many European & Japanese brands still do?? Why can't US car makers give us those now when Many European & Japanese brands still do??" Sorry I stuttered . Keep supporting their stuff and don't question why our children work for less money . No none for me thanks !

Anyone have trouble ordering from Larry G Scale?
dimaxion replied to Drake69's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I have to agree . Larry is a good place to do business . I do ask before I order mostly . A hangover from the old days and Snail Mail . He does what he says in a timely manner . He lets you know about unavailable items . Any luck on the Chipper/Shredder yet Larry ? Thanx .... -
Oh well . I do keep up with the splendid way the Chinese do business . Apparently I have to share . A U.S. Manufacture sends the Technology , dies & know how to a Large Corp in Japan . The U. S. Representatives encourage all U . S Manufactures to send all jobs overseas . Tax breaks and a landslide of other incentive's too large to resist by Corporate America . Hecky , everyone else is doing it . This lower cost of Labor is good . The good 'ole U S A does not have to deal with worker protection , unemployment benefits , EPA rules , environmental concerns , and .. the list goes on . Let the Chinese dirty their environment , Endanger their workforce , and kill off the excess mass of population for the benefit of their pursuit of world domination . Do you really think they are Capitalists ? No pesky retirement , health care , worker on the on the job protection . Especially Unions and demands for silly notion of higher wages . All of this given to these people to produce for us is now the Property of the Chinese Government . The large Corp. now produces the Factories you saw (the US Corp) and sends you fine products . All of the sudden , the quality slips . You (the US Corp) send a Representative to fix the problems (just a short 25K + miles away . This fixer finds your Products are moved to a smaller Business (factory) not suited , trained or equipped to make a good product for you . Decision made by Communist Government to better utilize space of production . Now whattda you do ? Go back to the States , figure out a fix in the US and tell all of your Corporate buddies (you know , the Competition) how well your Partnership is going with the Chinese . Unalterably you could close off this Partnership . Remember , all the rights , Tooling , Tech. are Property belong to the Chinese Government . At their pleasure . They take over making / marketing / owning what you surrendered to them . Or they could choose just to close up and ignore you . The metals in Model Making are in short supply . Could it be the DM mint's metals were needed in something more important to the Chinese ? Remember , this metal belongs to them along with all proproirtry . You know they are praying we eliminate our Guns and will be willing to work for less and give up the so unnecessary claim for freedom as they will own us (too late) . Then there will not be problems when we will work for them . There wont be any either way . Just ask their peasants . Of course you could dismiss me as unknowing . After it is IMHO after all . All I can say is if you don't believe look it up . I did . Those whom don't know History are condemned to repeat it . I have no problem that you dissagree . Good Luck to you DM . I did appreciate the fine products you sold . Maybe you will carry on in another spot in the World and the Chinese won't sue you for Corporate Espionage . They could need this metal ; some where else . Can you make a weapon with this metal ? For I am truly Blessed , I am an oldie in my life cycle . The truth scares me to no end . Thanx .,.

Bench seat conversion - 1963 or 1964 Galaxie
dimaxion replied to gtx6970's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
A four door seat has a solid upper seat-back . The two door has a split to fold for access the back seat . Not hard to do in scale plastic . The '63 & 64 Upholstery is different BTW .
