Deuce Days in Scale is a scale model car show the same day that the cars of Northwest Deuce Days - the largest gathering of ’32 Fords in the world - are displayed around the Inner Harbour of Victoria on Sunday, July 20. SPAM - Scale Plastic Automotive Modellers of Greater Victoria are presenting the fourth Deuce Days in Scale in the North & South Pender Rooms of the Hotel Grand Pacific. The model show essentially is a scale version of the car show taking place outside. Deuce Days in Scale will be open to the public from 9AM to 3:30PM with entry by donation. Children under 13 enter for free and will receive a car poster to take home to colour. Spectators will be asked to vote for their favourite model. Because this is primarily a display for the public, modellers are encouraged to bring as many of their models as possible. To allow more models to be displayed, for this year’s event, like the Good Guy’s car shows, models representing cars up to 1999 can be entered. When you think of it; 1999 is now over 25 years ago and the previous century. There will be 9 classes – Deuces, Hot Rods, Customs, Street Machines, Racing Cars, Factory Stock, Large Scale, Small Scale and Other Vehicles. Modellers will be asked to vote for their favourite model in each and favourite model overall. At the end of the show, all the favourite models will be announced. There will be special wards for the Favourite Deuce, the Favourite Over-All and Spectators’ Favourite. 4. Awesome model. Looks incredible. Very well engineered and constructed. It makes me fantasize as to what it would be like to drive around a race or slalom course. Looking forward to seeing what's next on your bench.
  5. Went to the first Euro Cars & Coffee of the year in these parts this morning at the Oak Bay Marina Victoria BC Canada. Predicted sunny day did not start until later in the morning but it did not deter many car enthusiasts from bringing out there cars. There were a number of interesting cars at this morning's gathering. This is a car that was made in China based on Rover A recent Lotus A DKW 2-stroke Wagon A Peugeot 404 fuel-injected Pininfarina Coupe Three generators of T-series MGs Late 40's or early 50's Bentley Two version of Volvo P-1800 A couple of 1-Series M versions [my favourite recent BMW] Citroen 2CV - have been watching one struggling with the sand dunes on the Dakar rally
  6. Fabulous Todor. Well built.
  7. Very well done collection of Mopar muscle cars
  8. Great photos of a fabulous model. It was a banner year for 2024 build posts on the forum of which I think I have checked out everyone. Yours maybe the finale.
  9. Another fabulous altered. I hope to see your collection in person someday.
  10. Excellent Christmas gift. I love building models for family and friends of their favourite cars.
  11. Intriguing piece of Corvette history
  12. Very nice purse, I mean Porsche !! Reminds me of James Dean's Speedster.
  13. Great looking stockcar which you were finally able to add to your collection
  14. Great project. I am a real fan of Beaumonts. I have a couple of buddies with very nice Beaumont hardtops. My first part-time job starting in 1965 was near Conroy Pontiac in West Vancouver and on my breaks I would go over to check out the cars . They had their own special big-block version they called the Cheetah.
  15. I never thought I would see a model of a car from The Americans. I enjoy the model as I did the TV series. Well done.
  16. Well built models
  17. Well built and very attractive.
  18. Great to see and it looks great. I saw Robbie and this car race back in the day. The last I remember hearing about Robbie were his runs in the Dakar rally.
  19. Very good looking models.
  20. Great looking T-Bucket
  21. Thanks Rex for the fabulous video giving me the opportunity to see all the amazing models I missed seeing by not attending. It was almost as good as being there except not having the comradery of the other attendees and of course not getting to shop the swap meet. I was especially impressed with the many incredible lowrider paint jobs. Apparently many were done by young people who hopefully will keep the hobby going and maybe even NNL West !!
  22. Thanks. Looking forward to more.
