#39 - I had an already painted body so decided to make a more contemporary show & go Deuce. The blown HEMI uses parts from the Revell Deuce 5-W and Willys Street Rod kits. The Duval body comes from the most recent Revell Roadster kit with the interior from the Rat Roaster. Out back is a fully chromed Replicas & Miniatures Winters Quick-Change. The scallops are kit decals over Tamiya Candy Lime Green. The huge rear slicks came from my parts box.

#38 - This model is a tribute to the daily driven Deuce Roadster of late and lamented hot rod journalist and photographer Gray Baskerville. The model is based on the 1/24 Monogram kit with the only modifications being lowering, stock hood sides and custom nerf bars. The paint is Tamiya Red with Satin clear while the primer is Tamiya Hull Brown.

Very well built and extremely attractive.

#37 - This a tribute to Pete Chapouris’s after market component quick-build Hi-Boy Roadster known as Limefire. The model is based on the most recently released Revell Deuce Roadster but using the Rat Roaster body. The Chev engine has a B&M Blower and transmission. Out back is a quick-change rear end. The paint is Tamiya Candy Lime Green and the flames were painted using Lazy Modeller masks.

#36 - This is a tribute to Deuce I have really liked since the first time I saw it. The colour is Tamiya Light Metallic Blue. The wheels and tires are from the AMT Ala Kart and the rear suspension has parallel leaf springs. The engine is a small block Ford with a 4-speed transmission.

Fabulous 300 SL. Photos look like they could have come from a Mercedes brochure !!

#35 - This is a tribute to one of my favourite local Deuce. I was lucky enough to be there when it was first fired up. The owner built it as he wished he could have as a young hot rodder. He later sold it but eventually realised it was his perfect hot rod and was able to buy it back. It has a small block Chevy engine and a transverse rear spring suspension. The paint is Tamiya Light Blue.

#34 - This Deuce represents an emerging style of hot rods coming from pro-builders that I call Retro-Modern. This 5-W is not chopped and has absolutely no chrome. It features lots of louvers on the hood and trunk. The wheels are large diameter with low profile rubber from the AMT Phantom Vickie. The paint is Tamiya Deck Tan with Satin Clear.

#33 - This is a tribute to one of the most favourite Hi-Boy Roadsters of all time - built and owned by Tom McMullen the publisher of Street Rodder magazine. I was able to duplicate most the features of this hot rod except for the flames.

#32 - Built in the 1960’s Show & Go style with suspension is from the AMT Ala Kart. It has a 409 engine. The interior is tuck and roll from Replicas & Miniatures. Those are white wall drag slicks at the rear. The Candy Apple Red is from House of Color.

Thanks everybody for your comments. I am really pleased you like my Deuce 5-W Hi-Boy and thought you might like to see my inspiration. There are some great photos of the Rolling Bones Hot Rod on Bring a Trailer where it sold for a quarter of a million a few years ago.

I I always like seeing a built Avanti and yours is very nice. I saw an Avanti at a car show the year it was released and the Avanti kit was the first used kit I every bought. It is still in my stash with intentions to build someday.
