  1. Same with me, all my local parts stores have the new cans, and I accually don't like it, wish they still had the 5oz. around here, or I would of stocked up. ! week they're there, next week they'e not
  2. ok guys quick update: I got the interior done(will get better pics before it's done). The thing in primer and the hood sprayed black, to look like it's aftermarket. I can't find the shaved tailgate I painted for fun, but the color looks good. Please don't mind the pics guys, the bench is soooooo messy right now there was no room for pics. also started the engine: The interior Thats it guys, thanks for lookin
  3. Yea I agree with ya, the show is fake. But anyways, do you got anymore pics of the tow rig?
  4. I guess great minds think a like! I was accually thinking the same thing. I think I'll go with the cowel hood because a) I don't feel like striping the stock one and I plan on getting a cowel hood for my 99 sonoma and it won't be painted for awhile.
  5. I don't think so, I'm going for the low buget look and really don't want to do any scratch building on this one.
  6. I haven't really done any work on it lately. Right now I'm working on the 99 silverado a quick build, then it's back on this in between a build of a mini.
  7. Quick updae on this one: Got the chassis done minus the engine and the shocks. I am just starting the interior, just finished flocking the floor. Still desiding on what hood to use. BTW sorry for the crappy pics, just took em real quick.
  8. Yea! It's finally out! It looks good. To bad I just spent my extra $$$ at my lhs the other day. Oh well, when I order the 92 syclone I'll pick one of these up. Just to let you guys know, I hate fords(least favorite truck), but I still want this one because if it's a truck, I want it.
  9. Since I finished the 92 cougar I desided to start this: Revell's 99 silverado. I have all the stock pieces except for the stock suspension. So It is going to be pretty much like a truck you would see riding around, lowered a bit and some rims. I swaped out the kit rims with the custom rims from the Revell 09 challenger. I am using the grill I have on it for now for mock ups only. The stock lower rearbead things are going on, stock bumper, and stock tail gate. It is going to be a light gold/champane color. I have 1 question? Do you think I should use the stock hood or the cowel? Well that's it, thanks for lookin.
  10. Well yesterday I got the Tamiya mini cooper and a Revell 99 silverado(which I'm going to make stock again, since I got all the pieces). I'm really excited to build the mini because I've never built a Tamiya kit before.
  11. Wow nice build! I really like the two tone. You have any pics of the s10?
  12. Wow! I love that truck! I'm a big s-series fan no matter what, and this is no exception. I can't wait for the revell reissue to come out. Great job, love it.
  13. Ok guys, I desided to build this one as a quickie to keep me motivated. It is the "lowrider" edition of the Revell 92 cougar. The story behind this is "somebody" painted it flat black and went muddin. This was a fun build and I recomend EVERYBODY trying a build like this if you haven't yet to do so, it is fun! The only thing that isn't box sock is the tires, there from amt's 88 daytona. I airbrushed the mud on it with some Taymia desert yellow for dust and Taymia flat earth for mud. I am not happy about how the black wash came out in the engine bay so I'm going to redo it. Now here are the pics! I still have a couple of things to do, like touch up the exhaust tips, and glue and mud the lisence plate(which I forgot about). Thanks for looking.
  14. Nice ride. I love s-series trucks. I got a 99 sonoma. But anyways, are you on the s10 forum? I like the paint too.
  15. Update guys. I got the interior base almost done, so now I have to start making door panels and things like that. I have to notch the fire wall for the transmission to fit. The whole thing is just taped together for now. Here is the 5.0 so far, painted it krylon Regal Blue and cleared it with duplicolor clear effects, that is also what the truck is going to be painted in. I am going to use 99 silverado seats and the hummer dash is still being worked on. Thats it guys, thanks for lookin.
  16. Glad to help!
  17. ok guys, got a update. Not much really, but started the custom grill, cut down the front of the hood so it dosen't hang over the grill so much. I also got the first coat of primer on it, not bad but still needs work and I am going to shave the whole tailgate too, and got part of the floor cut out of styrene. Here is a h2 dash I am going to cut down and modify. and the rest of the pics and here is progress on the grill, still need to come up with some sort of headlight. Thanks for lookin.
  18. Quick up date, no pics. I spent 3 hours wet sanding and painting to get the paint looking great. Then 1 more coat of paint and it would of been ready for decals and clear. Well the roof wrinkled and orange pealed so bad. So I am done with this thing till I get the paint fixed, right now it is being striped.
  19. yea, the rims are from a Jada 56 bel air. I know the 1 I got them off of was like 6 years old.
  20. Didn't find this in a junk yard, but I went to a local fair thing for 6 hours, came back to my truck and there was 21 beer cans in her, and two cars down someone though up a lexas, let me tell ya if I knew who did it, they woulda got a beatin! That's why I'm installing a tonau cover.
  21. Thanks everybody! And yep ThatOneEmoKid there is nothing like a slammed suv, but I like them rasied too. Well for the frame, there is no bends except for the two outer pieces that support the outer part of the floor are at like a 45 degree angle, I use a lighter or soder gun, heated it up just enough to bend em, got one perfect and then bent the second using the first as a template. As for the rest there all straight pieces just measured, cut, and glued together. I highly recommend this: if your making two pieces, one for each side, make 1, make it fit perfect, and use it as a template for the other side, should work fine. If you have any other questions, let me know! Edit: here is what the frame started as, 2 pieces of styrene that ran the length of the truck, two opisite pieces to hold it together, those 2 out floor braces that were cut down after, and the center brace was just started in that pic.
  22. well, I was brosing my lhs after picking up some styrene, and found this on clearence for 9.99, before it was 18.99, WAY too much. But now the price was right so I got it I put the clear tree in a ziploc bag so the don't get damaged. And trust me, this ain't going to be no lowrider!! I'm going to try my hand at making this thing extremely "DRIVEN"
  23. I need to get my ideas to styrene! It's amt's 81 Bronco, I wanted the whole frame and suspension for a 4x4 mustang, and I have always wanted to do a truck like this. Well I got the frame pretty much finished, but still have alot of work to do for the suspension. I desided to smooth the tail lights, door handles, gas cap, cowel, and the bumper mounts, but I still have to sand it. I also debadged it, and I am working on the airbags, more to come. still have alot of work, oh well! oh and I still have to make a roll pan for the rear and the engine is going to be a mustang 5.0 I am going to work on scratch building the interior tommorrow Thanks for looking.
  24. Yea I remeber that, and the face of the guy that sold it to him. I think it was a 454 or ls2 something car I think, I'm not good with chevells, but I know it had a pretty rare engine combo.
  25. You know what, I kinda disagree. If the car is almost complete or rare, then yes restore it, if it is just a shell and there's nothing left, then go for it, if it is tastefully done. I have seen some nice old cars, both stock and custom, and some that are completly redone, and look horrible!!!! I think it's nice to see both, and again, if it's got the right look and is very well done, then go for it. Also some people go this route if it would cost more to restore then just customize it.
