Happy New Year, everyone! I just finished this Revell 48 Ford Woody today. It's built pretty much out of the box, with the addition of ignition wires on the engine, and some travel stickers on the windows. I plan to use it on my late 1950's diner diorama, representing a well-traveled family wagon that stopped in for lunch while on vacation. Its owners are probably Republicans, as shown by the "I like Ike" (Eisenhower) bumper sticker on the rear, probably from 1956. This is a nice kit and it went together with no problems. The color is burgundy Krylon, which is close to the Ford Monsoon Maroon color used on the real 48's. I kept the gloss on the finish low, since the model represents a decade old car with lots of use. I like these old woodies. they have lots of character! I hope you guys like it.
