  6. Very good looker! It has a 1960's custom look that's just right. Great wheel covers, too! Sam
  7. I like it! The color is good, and the roof rack is great! It adds a lot of character to the model. Regarding the tilted front wheel, the axle looks like it is bent a little. You might be able to straighten it with CAREFUL use of a heat gun. Sam
  8. Sweet Chevy! Great colors, and excellent workmanship! I love those Chevies with that bubble top roofline. Sam

  15. Now that's different, and really cool! The roof treatment is very original. Great looking engine bay, too. I like it! Yeah, I'm a 49-er too! Sam
  16. Wow! Carl, that is a great diorama! The corn stubble looks real! Nice weathering on the tractor. Real ones don't stay shiny and clean for long! The gulls are a nice touch. Well done! Sam
  17. Wow! Very nice customizing work! It's radical, but not bizarre, as some customs seemed to be "back in the day". It's just about perfect! Sam

  24. Happy New Year, everyone! I just finished this Revell 48 Ford Woody today. It's built pretty much out of the box, with the addition of ignition wires on the engine, and some travel stickers on the windows. I plan to use it on my late 1950's diner diorama, representing a well-traveled family wagon that stopped in for lunch while on vacation. Its owners are probably Republicans, as shown by the "I like Ike" (Eisenhower) bumper sticker on the rear, probably from 1956. This is a nice kit and it went together with no problems. The color is burgundy Krylon, which is close to the Ford Monsoon Maroon color used on the real 48's. I kept the gloss on the finish low, since the model represents a decade old car with lots of use. I like these old woodies. they have lots of character! I hope you guys like it.
  25. It's a beauty! Looks real! The second photo looks like a real Mini sitting along a snowy road. Well done photos and model! Sam
