  1. Incredibly nice collection of models, Bernard! I like the classic rods. The 4 door 40 Ford is great. I never saw a 4 door 40 before. All very nice!
  2. Great concept, and very well done. I like how you did the windshield with the marks where the wipers went. Very nice detail! It looks like a car you would see here in central PA, rusted out by the road salt!
  3. Nice collection of models, Curt! All very good lookers! The bikes are really well done. I've built a few motorcycle models, and they are tough to build with so many spindly parts, cables, brake lines etc. My patience wears thin on them! Nice job!
  4. Thanks for the great compliments, guys! I don't take my models to the level that some of you guys do, but I have fun. I forgot one for 2009. I found this crappy looking 66 Riviera in a box in my house last summer - forgot I had it. I rebuilt and repainted it to look slightly less crappy. Not the best, but it was fun to rescue it!
  5. Great history lesson, David. It's amazing that you still have that model. Hang on to it! I thought I was the old guy here, but you were building that model when I was born in 1949! For a future project how about taking an AMT 49 Ford kit and turning it into a 2 seat roadster, following the concept of your old Ace model, then display it beside your original? Just an idea. Sam
  6. Nice job, Chuck! Looks like it had a hard life. The seat looks a little too clean, though!
  7. Beautiful model! Racing history on wheels!
  8. Wow! Somebody likes MoPar race cars! Great looking models, all of them!
  9. Great builds! The Bee is my favorite, 66 Mustang is a close second! All very nice! Sam
  10. That's a model I haven't thought about for ages. I built one back in the day, but it never looked as good as yours, Bill. Nice job! Sam
  11. They're all nice builds, Jason! I really like the 39 panel truck. Using the 57 quarters was a very creative touch. Nice job!
  12. Here's what I got done this year. I'm proud of them since I had only built about 6 model cars in the last 30 years! !956 Ford Crown Vic. This was an eBay beater I rescued. 40 Ford Coupe originally built by me circa 1962. Rebuilt & painted this year. 1953 Ford pickup, also a 1962 build redone this year. Inset in photo shows the original. This Mustang was built as a gift to my son. It's a replica of his 2008, although I used a Revell 2006 kit. PT Cruiser is a replica of my real one, shown here towing a model of my real teardrop trailer. I didn't make the doll in the background! This Model T woody is a parts box kluge just for fun. Yeah, I know - flatheads had headers with 3 pipes, not 4. I used what I had available. 34 Ford coupe. This was half of a double kit by Revell. A 27 T Touring is the other half. Absolute POS kit! Fragile, fiddly, and nothing fit. Looks out of scale, too. At least I finished it! My scratch built 1/12 scale teardrop trailer, a companion to a 57 Chevy on my campground diorama. This was so different and just fun to build! That's all for this year.
  13. Good work! It looks realistic. Lots of neat details in a small space. I'm thinking that car might get towed to the junkyard!
  14. I agree that this is a good thread. There is some amazing skill on this forum! You guys make my stuff look pretty ordinary. Nice builds, everyone!
  15. Whoa! That's a beauty! The best 56 Chevy I've ever seen! Nice work! Paint is amazing!
  16. Beauties all! I really like the classic rods and customs. I think my favorite is the red chopped Deuce coupe!
  17. The details are very well done. I like the radio and lawn chair and table. Tres bien, mon ami!
  18. Great concept - before and after in one model! Cool! Is that a brick stuck in the windshield?
  19. That's a batch of great lookers! I really like the pair of blue and black Chevy pickups! The Malibu looks really good, too!
  20. Nice models of cars you don't see every day! I like the realistic looking "oops" on the Nova's front end! My former in-laws had a 77 Monte just like your mom's - black w/red velour interior. Sweet car! Sam
  21. Randy, I still love that Impala wagon! It's definitely my favorite among all of yours that I've seen! Nice job on all the cars! Sam
  22. That is definitely a cool diorama! Great concept. I like things a little different from the garage dio's. That 32 looks too clean to need a wash. How about adding some road dirt, and maybe add a splatter of bird poop on the hood? Sam
  23. Cool car! Looks like a good parade car. Put the Dairy Princess or the Homecoming Queen on a throne in the back!
  24. Very nice! Now you're bringing back memories for me. I built several GTO's back in the 60's. Gave 'em all away to kids years ago. I was stupid!
  25. Way to go, Scott! That is cool! Hmmm, now you have me thinking! An R/C version of that would turn some heads at my club's flying field! Maybe about 48" span, electric powered, with a dummy engine from a 1/8 scale Big T or Deuce? I would have to ditch the floats and replace them with a pair of steelies with wide white walls for landing gear! Hmmm.
