  1. AMT Model T chopped coupe body hacked into a pickup.
  2. Here's my latest project, a Revell Model A coupe. I Z-ed the front of the frame and increased the Z in the rear just a little to lower it. Otherwise OOB build. Nice kit. The rear whitewall decals are wider than I like, but they'll do fine. I just found out the blower belt is upside down (mistake in the instructions), but I'm not changing it now. Comments welcome!
  3. The video was very cool and well done! Good build of the model, too! Nice work. Sam
  4. Great looking RR! Good color choice, very well done. I know a guy who had a real 68 Road Runner that he kept in near perfect shape. It was lost in a garage fire - it was literally melted! Sad. Sam
  5. Yes, there's just the one top insert, and it's smooth, not textured like cloth. Sam
  6. Hey, all, I got the new Revell Model A coupe and decided to build the channeled version, but sitting a little lower. I Z-ed the front of the frame and deepened the Z in the rear about 5 scale inches. It's coming along, and I like the look. Wheels will be red steelies with dog dishes and whitewalls. I made a new firewall because Z-ing the frame moved the engine up and back a bit. Bomber seats were drilled out and I made vinyl seat cushions for them. Here's the frame before and after the mods, and a mockup with the body on. This is a great kit!
  7. Unusual and very cool! Great engine choice - totally different! Sam
  8. Here's my Del Rio and the sheriff.
  9. Nice, clean build, and I like the color scheme! Looks period correct. Good work! Sam
  10. I'm liking the big single air cleaner, too. Sam
  11. Very nice collection of Edsels! The pickup is really cool! As a teenager in the 1960s, I grafted a 58 Edsel front clip onto an AMT 57 Ford to make a custom car. That model is long gone, but I still have the rest of that Edsel body! Sam
  12. I flamed this 49 Merc using a flame mask from ebay. Mystic Emerald with gloss white flames.
  13. Great build! Good job on the boom and the weathering. Nice! Sam
  14. Very good build! Looks like a real workhorse. Nice work! Sam
  15. Same here, Ken. Great build and photos! Sam
  16. I'm with you, Mike! I like details, but at some point, I draw the line and say "good enough." Sam
  17. As a teenager, I had a Ross Barracuda, a Sting Ray imitator. About 25 years later my sons found a similar Barracuda in an abandoned stone quarry near our home. People used to toss old bikes, stoves, refrigerators, tires, etc. in there. The bike had a badly twisted rear wheel, which I straightened enough that the kids could ride it. They messed around with it for a year or two, then it sat in my basement for 15 years. In 2011, I dug it out and rebuilt it into this rat rod type bike with new wheels and tires (slick on the rear) and a new banana seat. It's fun to ride around the neighborhood!
  18. Very nice build. I like the six! Sam

  22. Very nice model of a rare subject! Good work! Sam
  23. Very good build! The blue looks good. I'm not a fan of big wheels, but those look pretty good on the Chrysler. Nice work! Sam
  24. Very cool! I like those old flat nose trucks - Econoline, Dodge A-100, Corvair - from the 1960's. Good work! Sam
  25. Wow! It looks absolutely real! Great work! Sam
