  1. Very nice! I have not seen the coated wire before. Is the wire 1/16 or is he outside of the plastic 1/16? Tom
  2. Very Nice!
  3. Manny, Is that a First Gear? I though this was a new release coming this summer. I like what you did to that one.
  4. Looking good Ray. I like that color.
  5. Hi Brad, I was nice meeting you at the show. I will be watching this one.
  6. I have a few of the DM & FM cars and trucks. I'm glad I did not buy them when they were new. You can get most of the now for a fraction of the original cost. That said I did buy several of the FM when I got them wholesale. Here are some I picked up from a collection, no boxes but if your going to display them that's great. If anyone wants to see photos of a particular car, just ask.
  7. Nice, looks ready to race!
  8. Another cool 1/25 scale diecast coming from First Gear. I think I need to get back to dealing with them. Diecast metal construction Authentically detailed cab and body interior Opening passenger side doors Detailed undercarriage Authentic OEM paint colors Includes branded "parts" boxes 6.75"L x 3.5"W x 3.125"H Recommended for ages 14 and over
  9. Sun star may have been the one making those cars for Motor City to start with. They have been the manufacture for a few brands a long the way. All the MCC Model A's and the 48 Chrysler are on Sun Star's web site. I hope they are doing new colors. How did your show go?
  10. I see a dealer on ebay advertising the old MCC cars as Sunstar, dated 2016. I'm out of the loop on the new stuff so wasn't sure.
  11. Very nice Lance. Is this the old Motorcity Classics now being made under the Sun Star name? Have fun at your show.
  12. I'm all packed! See you guys in the morning.
  13. I'm liking this one. I wish GMP would have offered the front axle to their parts list. If that work space was more cluttered and messy it would go faster, Thanks for posting it.
  14. Harry, that was my thought. It's one of those cars that you just have to like because it's so different. The model looks great.
  15. Very Nice. FM did great job on these.
  16. Wow! You sure know how to ruin a car.
  17. That looks great Lance. I would love to see a WIP. Tom
  18. I'm getting excited!! For all you guys that enjoyed the bins full of vintage parts I had last year, Get Ready. I have several bins this year along with some near complete bagged kits. I'm not saying this place is big but, Hey Danno, did you work out a shuttle service to the restrooms
  19. I was thinking the same. Greenlight is reissuing this same color combination that will bring the price down to $150.00. That kind of turns me off buying Greenlight stuff. Now for Manny's car. Great detail. This car did not come with an opening hood so there is a lot of work done here that the average viewer may not realize.
  20. Great job, Lanny. I really like the open top section idea.
  21. When I posted, I was not suggesting a boycott and was not aware of any infighting. I only stated what I was going to do. I did one of Mike’s Flea Markets in Aug 2008 and was unable to set up at his next Flea Market due to other commitments. I never heard from him again and did not know he was even still doing the Flea Market. I have been setting up at the Dessert Scale Classic since 2007 and other than the IMPS and a NNL along the way, the DSC as been the only model show I have done. I don’t NEED to sell any of my stuff but I’m never going to build it all so here I am. I enjoy the guys at DSC and seeing all the well built models, even taking home some trophies when I get something built. What I can say after 30+ years of doing toy shows when I was doing it for a living is, there is only so much disposable income in any given time frame. Two shows a week apart is asking for failure of one or worse, both of them. With the time and money put forth by the vendors they can not afford to split the available funds down to two shows. The out of town vendors can not justify the cost with lower sales. That is when, No nobody wins. In this case it would be my pinion that if Mike was concerned about about the hobby, he would have canceled his spring Flea Market or moved it to May.

In general I'm not a big fan of flames, so for me, no. If you like flames go for it.

Looking good Thomas. Use the IMG code from your Photobucket. Like this:
  24. Whatever. I'm sticking to the Desert Scale Classic show. I would rather support the model clubs for the benefit of the hobby than someone making a few dollars off table rent.
  25. It looks great modifier (you are missing your name). Nice photos showing the how to. Signature Models and Yat Ming are two different companies. The confusion happens because Yat Ming had a Signature series.
