Wow! This thread really took off. Looks like I'm the only one on the board that likes Hogans Heroes. The show can seem rather assinine but if you know the back story it becomes more interesting. Most of the actors who played the Nazis were actually persecuted by the real Nazis during the war and some of them were Jewish. They agreed to play the parts if they could make the Nazis look as silly as possible. Even Robert Clary ( LeBou) was imprisoned for a period of time during the war. It was also one of the first sitcoms to feature an African American as part of the regular cast. This info courtesy of the IMDB website, so if it is incorrect don't blame me.?

Perhaps i am being a little negative with my criticism. Things aren't going well for me right now and I'm finding it hard to deal with some of the more difficult aspects of modeling. Right now I just want to build kits that are less work intensive. Everyone should buy what they like. Whatever floats your boat is ok with me.

I didn't know there was so little difference between 68s and 69s. Makes sense. They should do more 3/4 ton versions.

Even as a kid i could see that this whole series of Revell gasser and funny car kits were BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. I bought the Maverick funny car and never even finished it. The only future Revell kits that I am looking forward to are the XKE conv and the 71 Mach I if it ever comes to fruition.
