So I got the "Patton" finished. These things are a fair bit bigger than a Sherman and are sorta ugly and toady looking. Tried to make this one kind of faded instead of factory fresh like I did the Shermans. All three were painted out of an old tin of Humbrol 155 OD and I ran out of paint before I finished so the mantlet and main gun are a slightly different shade of OD. Kept adding thinner to stretch the paint supply so that's where the faded look came from. Works for me.
This one was a fun build except for the three piece lower hull that didn't fit very well and the too tight tracks that will probably pull the drive sprockets out of alignment eventually. I filled the lower hull seams with some Wite-Out as they aren't very noticeable anyway. Once again it is let down by the cheesy vinyl tracks but that's par for the course for a kit of this vintage. I also drilled out the gun barrel. Didn't want to plaster the Flower Child slogans all over it so just used the "Here come da judge" slogan on the front.
