  5. Sounds interesting guys, thanks for the replies!
  6. Thanks my friend, I do have those pictures but I want the original factory color, the instructions ask for the chassis to be painted stainless steel with the frame in gloss black but I want to know if that is correct.....
  7. My respects and condolences....
  8. Question, anybody know which colors were used on the chassis for the '62 Catalina? I have been looking in Google without any luck. I am about to start building the Arnie Beswick version that AMT just put out and need to know this info? Anybody? Please?

  10. Great job!!!
  11. Nice job guys! What shade of red did you use for the interior?
  12. Looking at it close, I think that glitter is too big to be shot through an airbrush, I could be wrong but it looks a little big.
  13. Indy car race coming to Baltimore? Tuesday August 18, 2009 The Unser name is revered in the world of open-wheel car racing, and now, it's become associated with Baltimore. Al Unser Jr., two-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, has joined Baltimore's effort to bring an open-wheel Indy Racing League race to the city in 2011. At a press conference yesterday, Unser said he's "very pleased with what’s going on†with Charm City's efforts to land the race, and that it's much further ahead than Boston, Cleveland, Detroit and Houston, the other competing cities. “The best way to bring attention to Baltimore is to have a street race,†Unser said. “You’re going to have the same cars racing in the Indy 500 racing in Baltimore.†The race is anything but a sure thing. According to the Baltimore Business Journal, organizers are still attempting to raise $1.4 million in funding, and they must complete a noise study before April 1, 2010, when the city will decide whether to give its final approval for the event. The Indy Racing League will select a city for a 2011 Grand Prix next July. I've been to seven Indy 500s, so I can tell you right now - it's going to be loud. But attending a car race in person is a thrill, even if you're not into motor sports. The shere speed of the cars and deafening roar of the engines does not translate onto TV, and the race, which would be part of three days of events, would pump millions of dollars into the economy. I think it's a great idea. What about you? Photo: Al Unser Jr. is part of Baltimore Racing Development, which is trying to bring an open-wheel car race to the city in 2011. 14. I have been using it for a while also, best thing to use for stripping paint.....
  15. In a few words, give Gallaraga the perfect game, the kid deserves it and it was obviously a blown call, not even close.
  16. Very cool Bob, like everything else you have us accustomed to seeing. I also use the method of using my airbrush first and finishing with the can, makes for a more complete and even coverage specially on a body with a lot of details like vents and stuff.
  17. This sounds good Mike, I will have to get together with you as I have some questions about urethane clears also and would like to try them some time....
  18. Gorgeous Mike, I am sure it will be another winner. I am old school so I like the Rally Wheels, you have good taste so whatever you decide on will look good.
  19. Gorgeous build, paint is phenomenal!!!
  20. Here is entry number 51 but let it be clear that it's not an 1872!!! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  21. Very cool Mike!!!!
  22. Bro, you totally misunderstood what I said but you know what? I sent you a PM, I don't want to make this a big deal when in reality it isn't, I respect everyone here and would never think of belittling or insulting anyone, my apologies if I do......
  23. That's a good one Jeff but I didn't use the small tires in the kit's box for my Olds, I went with some from my spare parts box!!! Now it's my turn to criticize you, you should study the work in progress of my builds, I think you are getting too lazy to read!!!
  24. I used Odds and Ends clear for this one, WalMart used to carry them but currently don't anymore. It's similar to Plastikote clear though.
