    50 FORD PICKUP

    Nastily sweet build!!!
  2. Absolutely cool Bob!! The color goes well with it. I built one last year also and loved this kit!!!
  3. has not set their statushttp://images.fotki.com/flash/widgets/widget_shift.swf

  4. I rarely say anything here specially when it's one of those board drama incidents but, come on, how stupid can you be to even try to post such stupidity Talk about getting rid of trouble makers, here is the guinea pig.....
  5. You are doing very well man, one advice I always give people starting in this hobby is to learn how to pace themselves first, it's difficult at first since you are so anxious to see that model completed. Just make sure to finish it off without much detailing, once you see how well it turns out, your next one will definitely be better!!
  6. Very cool, remember, practice makes perfect....
  7. There is a member and a good friend of mine here in the forum, he goes by the handle of 3men2s, private message him, he can tell you where and when there are any shows or contests around your area!!

Very cool, that is certainly a nice kit!!
  9. Oh sweat, here we go again....
  10. That's gonna be a low riding granny!!! Good looking project!!
  11. Looking awesome!!! Torque thrusts for me!!!
  12. Lots of good stuff happening here with your build Romell, thanks for sharing brother!!!!
  13. It's all on how you prefer it my friend, if you are pleased with the final results you can leave it as is. I personally wetsand and polish all my finishes like a lot of the fellas here. I like to use my Micro Mesh system, grits start at 3200 followed by 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000 and finally 12,000. Learn to use them and I can assure you that you will love them!!!
  14. Mark is right!! I like to shoot my first 3 coats very lightly 15 to 20 minutes apart right out of the can. I will add another 3 wetter coats 20 minutes apart and that's it, I think it works great. Of course, I always wetsand and polish it at the end. Make sure it's completely dry before wetsanding/polishing at the end! One of the things I like about Tamiya Clears is how thin they go on.
  15. Definitely one of my favorite builders here!!
  16. Come on guys, this is an old rule, should be easy to follow!!
  17. Harry!!! The deal was so good that I felt if I hung around the store too long after buying it, they would raise the price back up!!!
  18. Here are more detailed pictures of the airbrush.... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki And this is my happy self after knowing I got a good deal..... Hosted on Fotki
  19. Thanks Virgil, they don't sell the greatest quality tools but they do have some good stuff specially when you are sticking to a tight budget.
  20. For those of you familiar with Harbor Freight Tools, here are a few finds for those interested. I was just walking around the store waiting for my wife to finish shopping next door and just happened to see some new stuff that came in. I was looking at the sandblasting powder which can be used for 2 things, of course, one and mainly for removing paint (they also had the airbrush specifically for this) and also, for carpeting, yes, carpeting, it's even thinner than the embossing powder which more and more guys are using nowadays!!! I decided to buy me an extra airbrush, paid only 12 bucks after a 20% off coupon a nice old lady handed me right there in the store!! I am sure it's not the greatest airbrush but I might be able to use it for water based paints, don't like to use my regular brush for this. Sorry for the pictures, I took them with my phone camara..... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki They also had a nice little airbrush stand along with small brushes to clean your airbrush. Had other useful little items also so if you guys find some time, check them out. I will let you know how the airbrush turns out.....
  21. Considering how bad you say the kit is, you did a good job on it, looks very good.

This really came out awesome, I am enjoying looking at this thing. Question, do you know how to rub out paint or use a polishing system? It will really stand out even more if you did. Again, awesome job bro!!
