yes, its a boss scoop with a little added to the bottom to raise it up. nice subject. do you have that year cougar?
-
Marty..... you dawg!! at it again... your fellow model club dude must really be getting tired of these...... nice build. you need to go way off base with the next build.... maybe a helicopter or tank.....

I guess that fine and dandy... but aren't we suppose to be saving the environment? I mean if you get 25 pills, why don't they make a container that 25 pills fits in? less plastic on the roadside or in fields or in the landfills. I guess money is more important to these corporate giants that the environment. and no, I am not a freak on that, but I do my part.....

what about bags of chips that are half full. same with cereal, cheez-its, almost any type of bagged or boxed snack. I understand you are getting the weight that is on the bag, but make the bags smaller.... or will America think they are getting ripped off if they do that?

I didn't hear about this, its a shame. we all have to get old. great band, great sound together. one of the few rhythm guitarist that was happy in the shadows of his brother. I have seen AC/DC well over 15 times, but only once with Brian Johnson. I have seen them open, yes, I said open up for UFO, Meatloaf (figure that one out), Thin Lizzy, Blue Oyster Cult and Cheap trick. their first headlining tour that I can remember, Pat Travers was the opening act. hope he gets on his feet, back on stage and kicks some butt!! they still pack 'um in!!!

sorry fellas, but my modeling cash flow is very limited. i know, hard to believe... every kit i buy is bought for a purpose, i have to have some sort of idea of what i am going to do with the kit. whether it be for a build or just parts. it's bought for something.... except if it's dirt cheap, but i have passed on those too. my impulse days of buying are long gone. if my interest fades on a kit, i can quickly trade it away for something i am looking for or wanting.

the fact that I have been side tracked and have been letting my fellow MCM members down that are involved in trades with me. I have let things get in front of my responsibilities here and it irks me that it took a very nice PM to me asking if I had found a simple part that I have promised someone. yes, life has handed me some lemons lately, but if I promise someone something, I should deliver it with some sort of urgency. so, anyone that I owe parts, kits, whatever is reading this, your stuff will be shipped out by Thursday.

well, I am not an expert, but mopar steel rims have 3 little nubs in the ring that holds the cap and only have 4 narrow slots...tried to upload a picture, but the all seem to be too big. i am really not sure, googled chevy, ford and Chrysler and i cant figure it out. sorry. you will get your answer, somebody knows. -
Hobby Room/Workbench questions
tubbs replied to AMT4EVR's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
here is an interesting situation, some you, like Danny here, store all your stuff in drawers, safely and neatly tucked away. I have a couple of lazy Susan's on top of my desk, along with everything else that I use for modeling. if I kept everything in the desk drawers (I have 2 steel desks with plenty of drawer storage), I would have more room on top of the desk for building. I would have to remember what drawer everything is in. I am pretty good at putting things back after I use them, and I do like things right there. do most of you guys, those who have the space, store all your modeling stuff on your bench at easy reach, or keep things put away for more building space...... or more clutter? -
Building season is over for me...
tubbs replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
too bad your shutting down for the summer, my building time slacks a little , but for me, there is no better relaxation than to come in from a good days work and crack open a kit (unless it's doing something with the family, but if they sit and watch the boob tube, that's another story). even if it is just to plan something, or look for a part. I am lucky I have a room where I don't have to put anything away which is a big plus. I was out yesterday, looking at all the stuff I have to do besides the honey-do list.... can anyone tell me why we have to clean the garage every year? how does it get like that...... evil garage elves??? -
well your welcome. I don't finish any builds, might as well help someone finish theirs. as far as the stripes go, makes total sense to me. don't see too many bumble bee stripes on the 70's, I think it would look cool. I swear they made (could have been an older issue) a bumble bee stripe with the bee logo in there? hmmmmm , makes me wonder.

I have been watching this for a while, too bad about dropping it but I think it was a blessing cause I really like the new color. I know everyone hates to do work twice, but I think it paid off. where did the braking system come from? I have 3 bee's going right now. also, Seth and Michel, I have a good supply of the super bee decals, if you guys are in need, you can PM me. keep going, give me motivation to get mine back on the bench.

nice Jason, except for the color, wheels, motor and it being a chevy, it looks good.......... joking. looks great! you cant put as much detail as you did your cuda in ALL your builds! yea, I didn't think about much else when I was dating my wife.

nice build. great job on the top. can you give up more info on the paint?

all real good ideas. I will take a few away from here. the pegboard thing, I used to store my tires on there. you can usually get the pegs from a flea market or junk store. one thing I noticed is my tires like to collect a lot of dust. I am redoing my room now and when the peg board goes back up, I am covering whatever it is that ends up on there with a sheet, or even a flag with something on it. i was sure getting tired of wiping those tires off. good luck with your room. -
something you don't see too much of, another nice one.... nice touch on the stripe.
