    My 2012 Builds

great job!! nice looking, clean builds.......here are the ones i finished this year.... + + + + + oh, what happened, the pictures did not post? wonder why????? again great job on the builds!!!!
  3. thanks for the info on the radials, and while you are looking for a new camera, tell us about that car in your avatar picture. i know in one of your posts you said you own a chassis shop, correct? is that car pictured in your avatar yours?
  4. that "finish a kit" is going to be too much of a challange so i am going for the "not going to START any more kits" as my resolution.
  5. yes, constantly. for instance, i have a johan superbird i am making a pro mod build out of, bought the new (at that time) soft seal 57 chevy to steal the chassis out of......... get the point. its not loss of interest at all, its the "start another one" syndrome!!!!
  6. nice flopper you have there....... clean builds always impress!
  7. WOW!! i like! that will look great on your shelf! can you give any info..... what kit? added detail??
  8. nice, but unfortunatly, gotta agree with Matt, you have some very cool builds there. should be represented with better pictures. although i am not telling you how to spent your money.... are you using drag radials on them or just slicks. there are a few guys out there making the drag radials. was curious how they were.
  9. AWSOME!! 2 of my favorited done very well!!
  10. nice build John. you would see Snow's red charger a lot more than this version that Johnstone drove.
  11. holy noodles, Scott........talkiing about getting it right!!! ........ i eyeball it and glue.........
  12. ok, what do you guys use to cut your tubing? i have the old mitre box and hand saw and still get crooked cuts... also, how many fishmouth thier ends? if you dont paint the chassis body color, what color do you use? what is your glue of choice? do you use rod or tubing?
  13. great start. sounds like your making good progress. good idea on the rear wheel tubs. i will be watching.
  14. nice start! you can tell you are some sort of machinest. that distributer is drilled out perfectly!! silly suggestion, if you visit your lokal wal-mart, head to the fishing department..... yes, i said to the fishing department. there you will find all kinds of fishing hooks, there are some with little black rubber things coming off the back of it. the one i found has about 30 of them and they are about 2" long. they make great fan belts. sorry, dont have a picture of it. good luck and keep us posted.
  15. big blocks are the only way to fly!! great choice and nice build!!
  16. very nice build!! may i ask who makes the hood?
  17. beautiful!! really clean and neat build.
  18. nice imagination. you have a talant not many of us have and that is to build a custom that is not too gaudy and works well with all components! really a great job!!
  19. X2!! i have a few of these kits and have built them with a drag these. very cool to see a stock version. it really catches your eye.
  20. looking sweet Eric!!
  21. scratching your first chassis isn't a scary task. it's all in making it as simple as you can. here is one i have done for a pro street 69 dart. started with just the rear wheel tubs and firewall from a pro stock kit. measured the tubs to the cowl and connected them together with sheet styrene. that gave me a good base to work off of. measure carefully and test fit often. now just start cutting and glueing round and/or square tubing were needed. after i got the chassis where i wanted, i made the role cage seperate from the chassis for painting purposes. my next adventure will be doing it all from scratch with the photo etched 4 link and the whole 9 yards. and if you are wondering, the dart met a terrible fait as it fell to the ground and busted in a gazillion pieces (well, it seemed like that many at the time!). it will be brought to life again.... someday.
  22. hey Bill..... remember when we had to PAINT all the trim........ great job. looks good.
  23. i will trade you a kit or 2 for some of that spare time you have??.......... if only it was that easy.....
  24. .... if i am putting together a modern day SS/AA dart and/or cuda, what vendor or which kit has the best and most properly sizes slicks? also, anyone know where i can get a few of Perry's resins pro stock intakes? thanks in advance,
