  1. That is serious stuff right there. Thanks for the link Dr. That got the mind racing for sure. G
  2. Matchbox. My father made yearly visits to the Bahamas in the 60's and 70's for business. Most often he took the family, but whenever he went, he stocked up on Matchbox cars which sold for 25 cents a piece back then. Oh what a collection we have. G
  3. I just want to know how Cranky built the vacuform machine. I have been looking for a while and his really fits my needs. What say Virgil, post some plans? G
  4. Very nice, 33 years was long enough. I can't imagine a Fargo foot beat in the winter. He was certainly from the era when men were iron and ships were wood. G
  5. Oh yeah! I have a M4A2 in the works. It'll be a tank on Pelieliu, and looks nothing like this one. G
  6. You did a really good job capturing that blacked out tail light panel. That was a stupid design, and hard for us modelers. G
  7. Nicely done! I think that is just ####### cool! G
  8. Do the Texas DPS interior in a dark charcoal gray. You won't loose the detail, black will just swallow it up and look way too bare. G
  9. Strange or not here's some of the UFO related places I've visited. Roswell NM Rachel NV I won't even get started on my extensive ghost hunting albums. G
  10. I had the real thing, and you did it justice! Nice, very nice. G
  11. Back in that era Chrysler Corp. didn't offer too many colors for interiors. The FHP car should be just fine with some form of tan/khaki/beige interior. That model of Impala also had limited interior colors. All I ever drove were blue, but we drove all white cars. I believe tan was available as was a medium gray. You can't go wrong with any of them. G
  12. Oh goodness, another epic from the man! Hey John remember the old bike place, AMEN. If I remember right they built a series of really nice Choppers with Japanese inline 4 engines. This reminds me of those bikes and those long ago days. Keep going brother. G
  13. Ok Me and Tupac With "the Boss". With the Las Vegas Hilton's Director of Casino Operations G
  14. I'm going to try to get the weekend off, but no promises. G
  15. Joe, AK interactive washes are thin enamels, pastel powders are just artist chalk pastels ground up in a jar. Enamels, oils, pastel sticks and chalk make fine weathering supplies. I will be using good old desert dirt from my backyard when it is time to dust up my truck. I'll sift it into an old butter container and brush it on. I have a couple of small dollar store ladies eye make up compacts. These have a nice waxy eye liner in various rust or brown shades. They are the bomb for rusty exhaust pipes. They even have an applicator but I use a flat brush mostly. Seriously, look outside the hobby shop, and treat yourself to the make up isle. G
  16. Very nice! G
  17. Do a blue/gray/black camo scheme......................... G
  18. Oh make no mistake, the "space race" was the perfect testing ground for all sorts of new military technology. G
  19. I showed the pic of Buddy to MrsG. Her comment was "He's beautiful" beware, she will take him in an instant! G
  20. All the weathering so far was done with oil and enamel. You can clearly see the difference between the body and the wheels, which have not yet been weathered. More to come. G
  21. Normally I haven't much bench time during the work week, but I took a minute to mock this up. Here's the basics for my recon truck.
